I figured I’d create a thread on latest injuries update since we have so many goddamn players out.

Anyone know what is the latest on the players? Hopefully Thiago Silva will be ready to face Barnsley on Wednesday.

Frank said all the players that were out against Liverpool are most likely absent from Barnsley as well. Silva is not injured probably a little bit rusty after a lengthy vacation. 

Don’t know how to word this properly but our ‘ injury ‘ and not ‘ fit yet ‘ and still a couple of ‘games away ‘ ‘ a bit rusty ‘ ‘needs time to settle in ‘ is very un Chelsea like, of a few years ago.

It's very frustrating that we can't field our strongest team from the start of the season again.

Just seen that someone on here said Chilwell is in the squad now. That’s brilliant news I’m excited to see him, feels like a long time since we had a good left back.

I read that Lampard said that Pulisic and Ziyech are "getting close".

I believe that he ment they were getting close to being ready to play again.  Not that they were getting close personally.  Although they are training together.

This site is quite interesting : https://www.premierinjuries.com/injury-table.php and it shows that our injury situation is pretty much in line with all the other PL clubs. Man City have 7 out at the moment. Liverpool have 5. Arsenal and Everton also have 7 out, and poor old Palace have 8 !

Obviously that doesn't fit the narrative that some like to endorse that says something is awry with our training methods and medical team to cause our level of injuries ...

Lampard said Chilwell is fully recovered and fit now. Pulisic and Ziyech however are still in recovery stage!

Fast forward 6 months, Lampard "Ziyech and Pulisic are almost ready."

Never let facts get in the way of a good old debate.  Perhaps it was the injury type and key player list that changed the perception of the impact to Chelsea.  Good site - thanks for sharing.

Amazing.  Sunday must have made a big difference to his condition.  Very frustrated that we didn't introduce Chilwell sooner.  I know Lamps is playing the long game, but still makes me question his decisions.

Any updates on Pulisic and Ziyech?

That site makes you realise why managers don't normally blame the result on missing players as most clubs have a similar situation.

Good news, I have read that Lampard has reported that Pulisic will be on the squad for the match against Crystal Palace, although he has stated that he will not start due to the injury.

I am guessing that since he will be dressed, that he has a good chance of being subbed in at some point.  Of course that would depend heavily on situation.  

My hamstring is feeling better but my knees a bit sore.
