I prefer it that way anyway. Crossing fingers Liverpool beating United as well - kinda high even. I'd love to give them a really good scare at the end of the season because they're so smug about being second. lol

Focus on your own club and not others. This mentality is so jarring. Such a ridiculous risk you are hoping for.

All these permutations. Utd win and we win means we only need a point vs Leicester to guarantee top 4.

United beat Liverpool and we beat Arsenal and top 4 is as good as guaranteed. Unless West Ham can make up close to 15 goal difference. Or am I mistaken?

No you are right. Let's get our part done today.

Focus on your own agenda and not mine? I'm pretty confident about us being totally able to win all remaining league games. I personally* want to finish as high as possible, always. If you don't, then that's your thing. And just because I wouldn't mind Liverpool beating United means "focussing"? Would you say the same thing to those that would prefer United beat Liverpool? Why didn't you?

* bearing in mind that it's 100% irrelevant what I think (or you) regarding the outcome of this season.

If Liverpool beat Utd then top 4 is not safe and we therefore most likely have to field a full strength team in the remaining games to secure top 4. That doesn't help us when preparing for a CL final. A win today and a Utd win tomorrow would be a dream and gives us 2 weeks to focus on the City game.

Obviously winning today is a prerogative for all the conjecture afterwards. I totally believe in our squad depth to be able to cope with the upcoming next three fixtures (including FA Cup). After winning those we're secured third and could have even a (very theoretical) shot at even United. I don't think we'll make second since that isn't entirely in our hands, to be clear, but that would leave us with the possibility to save powers against Villa. Of course you can find that "ridiculous" but I wouldn't prefer having potentially two losses in the last two matches pre CL final because we were shifting our preparation and focus onto City.

Don't think we can overtake Utd, our goal difference is vastly inferior where you are not just banking on results going our way but also big shorelines to turn it around. The important thing is making sure our squad is fit for the final. Having to go into villa needing a win is risky increasing the chances of injury. Its not like previous seasons where there has been a bigger gap between the final game and Champions league final.

Surely we beat the Gooners don't we? I think we beat them and rest a few players at the same time. I'd save Dave for Saturday and play James and Callum. Maybe play Billy again. Take Mason off after 2nd goal and Ziyech can come on and get the third.

Sure we can. I have little respect for Arsenal this season..as long as those players on the pitch put in the effort. I'd like to see CHO, Billy, Mount and Werner start. Taking off Werner asap. Hope we can score already 1 or 2 in the first half but that's what I think we will do. I'd would save Dave as well, because he's needed on Saturday and because Auba will come over his side and that pairing wouldn't be ideal anyway. James and CHO can take care of that.

Correct me if I'm wrong here but a win here should pretty much seal the deal for a top 4 finish for Chelsea.  Even if West Ham wins all of the rest of their games (which is not unlikely given they are playing 2 relegation level squads and Southhampton), it is unlikely that they would make up the 13 goal advantage we have in goal differential.

So important game but I have to think that Tuchel will rotate some players to rest them.  Kante could probably use a break right now, I'd like to save him for the FA cup final.  Maybe Azpi and Chillwell as well.

West Ham and Liverpool both are basicall 7p behind - but Liverpool got one game more to play so could reach potentially 12p at max whereas WestHam only 9. If we'd win today we're realistically save from WestHam because of GD but not from Liverpool.

I've strayed from my usual strategic path of counterjinxing, and have gone for a 3-1 win. Risky, I know.

I went for a 4-1 with Chilwell scoring first, hopefully he starts.

On a separate note, had my first vaccine about an hour ago and I still have no brain cravings

Hope you're still alive to watch that glorious 3:0 tonight!

But Chilwell scoring first, I dunno, think it'll be Werner if he starts.

I'm just glad I managed to find my way out of the hospital in time, you ever go to malta don't do anything that'll make you go to the hospital they are a bunch of muppets and they cant be bothered to put any signs up for the people who dont happen to have a spare copy of the blueprints rolled up sticking out of their back pockets.

Picking a goal scorer was hard because I have no clue who's playing, TT was talking about players being overused in his presser so I think there is going to be alot of rotation today and Alonso played the other day so I'm guessing he will start. that's the only thing I've got to go on but apparently 100% of the 5th stand app disagrees

I would like a compilation of these awesome pictures for the season once we've won the CL. I dont know what kid they got in their media team to come up with these but he/she has really earned their money...all these little pre match illustrations have been amazing

To be honest I've enjoyed posting them on here.

Super confident there Malta blue 😉

So nervous about this one, for me almost as important than the FA CUP Final.  First because we can almost guarantee top 4 and second I just can't stand Arsenal.
The worse they get all these years, the more they get out of the matches against us, like the two lost FA Cup Finals. So let us smash this lot and go to Wembley with a win.

Always, I can't see any scenario in which we loose. I know all the neutrals and media are going to be hoping for man city to get their first CL trophy but it isn't going to happen, we're going to piss everyone off in true chelsea fashion
