All the while we're somehow still happy with Werner, the teams we're chasing are getting better and better. Håland scored plenty of goals for Norway recently, he's going to enjoy the service in Man City that already won the league without having such a potent striker... What is our board doing?

Liverpool are going to lose both Mané and Salah. Let's see if they can keep it up over the years. I don't imagine they will keep on spending 100 million + every year

The biggest take away for me from that video, aside from some comedy touches, is the insane amount of space behind the defenders in a large percentage of those clips. That space simply does not exist in the epl and even less so for Chelsea, with our ultra slow sideways, recycle build up play. It was the same for Werner in Germany and to a lesser extent, Lukaku in Italy. Loads of space to run into = goals.

Maybe because our board simply can not do anything until about 1 month ago and we have 500 attackers on the book with high wages.

June 15, 20224 yr I might be in the minority here and to be fair I did not see the topic being discussed that much, but Bukayo Saka IMHO is the most overrated player since I began following English football. Adnan Januzaj comes next. And many, many others. But Saka tops that list for me. There is literally nothing special about that guy, nor is he such a great talent as the media wants you to believe he is.

June 17, 20224 yr Spurs are close to completing Bissouma transfer and are also linked with Lauturo Martinez. Conte's Spurs might be a force this season.
June 25, 20224 yr City signing Phillips and Cucurella, Pep literally has 2 teams, the depth is unparalleled, literally taking the best players from mid tables clubs for backup, whilst we’re an injury away from not competing at all 😅 saw it last season with Chilwell and we’ve seen it when Kante has been injured, literally insane. I don’t know where we’re gonna be in the next few years but if we do manage to somehow win the title again, it’s going to be a real feat against this machine.

As good as Pep is and no matter who he buys he was always seem to fxxk it up through wrong selections in big matches, for me why has has not won the CL since leaving Barcelona.

City and Liverpool are miles ahead of everyone else at the moment and it doesn't look like their form is going to drop anytime soon, although that has to happen at a certain point. We haven't even managed to compete domestically since 2017, and the gap never seemed as big as it is right now...

There is something strange going on at City and I am saying this because they usually are very smart during transfer windows, but some of their transfers truly baffle me and IMHO if Guardiola was to manage any other club, he'd not even look at 5 seconds of their individual highlights, nevermind be interested in them. And those players are Grealish, Ake and Kalvin Phillips. We've all followed football for a long time and automatically followed Guardiola since his Barcelona days, there is no way he'd ever sign those players. First they are not good enough for a top team, second they don't fit his philosophy, third their transfer fees were so inflated. Especially Grealish. IMHO Grealish and Lukaku are the worst 200M ever spent by two football clubs. 200M down the drain in the same summer. Don't know what is going on behind the scenes, but there is surely something shady when it comes to buying English players. Leave Ake aside, I can name at least 20 other players better than Grealish in that position that would be worth less than 100M and probably 30 other midfielders better than Kalvin Phillips worth around 40M.
