What a complete mess this window is turning into. I find it hard to believe we go about trying to sign a player we really want in such a disastrous way. It beggars belief that we would wait till our chief rivals for him sort out their finances, while we enquire about every other centre back in Europe, then finally turn back to Kounde as if he’s our last resort. What kind of cack-handed way to conduct transfer business is that? It’s almost like we don’t know what we’re doing.

We really don't know what we are doing at the moment. The funny thing is that we could have avoided all this mess if Todd had given Marina and Co the mandate to buy the players Tuchel wanted this season.. but he listened to idiots and decided he could handle it. For someone who made billions.. he is certainly very foolish when it comes to football

if we sell 10% of our TV rights for 25 years maybe we can afford Declan Rice?

Along with Xavi one of Barcas biggest drives to make this deal happen is to spite us.

They have been unhappy with us for a while now, for one our attempts to snatch Raphinha and drive up the price when they were hoping for a dealer closer to his relegation release clause.

The main one is Dave though. Xavi talked to him, he and his family want the move and both him and Barca believe we have dealt with Dave in bad faith as apparently Dave and Barca expecte his wishes to be granted that his contract would not be extended and could go on a free. When it was they expected Dave to be granted a move for free based on his loyal service to our club.

That we have not done so has apparently bent Dave's nose out of joint and absolutely pissed off Barca. Which is why they tried to poach Koulibaly and have now hijacked the kounde deal.

I have also seen it said Barca have let Reece and Mase know they are interested in acquiring them.

when you have 1.5 billion debt and have to sell off your clubs future financial gains on a 1 billion loss just so you can hijack some average players from us

The Barca journo who called these deal happening while all the others said his move to us is done has said he will officially be a Barca player on Tuesday.

he shouldn't have taken it all on himself to do the transfers, he probably underestimated it big time

You are talking about someone who is overwhelmed and completely over his head with this. How he made his billions would be an interesting topic one day. Cause billionaires especially those who made billions from scratch are said not to be stupid. This fella clearly is bucking the trend. First you sacked the entire Mgt team just days to a transfer window you know absolutely nothing about without any back up plan whatsoever. The fact that there were pple who wanted to help you navigate the transfer window but you refused makes it so sad and bad. He is now fumbling about and asking Tuchel who is supposed to concentrate on tgetting his team in shape take par tin phone calls and make transfer decisions shows the level of idiocy on display now. . We are now a mockery amongst other clubs as we grovel and beg average players to join our team. We have less th 3 weeks to commencement of the new season and we are still short of options in almost all areas of the pitch and does not have a single striker in place... Mutlitasking is any alien term to this fella cos chasing mediocre players is not an excuse why we can't fill up the other areas that needs attention

I have also seen it said Barca have let Reece and Mase know they are interested in acquiring them.

Think this is really poor from us if true. Dave's a club legend and clearly surplus to requirements here we should treat him with the respect he deserves

They are in financial ruins but those that police their league turn a blind eye because the league is so weak they can't do without them.

He returned a few month ago from a broken leg and has a contract at Leicester until 2027, so there is no reason for them to sell. We probably would have to pay them Harry Maguire money and with his injury in mind I think the risk is too high, but I agree we should have an eye on him longterm.
