January 15, 20251 yr Just as he started to become a key player for Palace we take him away to correct a decision that was incorrect to begin with. These directors don't have a clue what they are doing.
January 15, 20251 yr I would have stayed just to spite the f**kers who chucked me to the side. I would have told them to get f**ked sideways!!! However knowing Trev is god fearing he’s too nice of a lad to do that which is why these c**ts can get away with this. Plus is mom and dad would probably slap him around the ear 🤣 Plus I know he loves the club dearly!! Edited January 15, 20251 yr by El regreso
January 15, 20251 yr One iffy performance by Josh and we're panic recalling a player who arguably isn't even better than him now, sigh.

January 15, 20251 yr Good to see Trav back in the squad. Let's hope we can mug someone off for a permanent Disasi transfer this month too.

His performance wasn’t bad at and he’s young so he will still be learning. I suspect they made the decision probably before yesterday’s match. Also i suspect they selling one of the CBs this window Edited January 15, 20251 yr by El regreso
January 15, 20251 yr I understand the Chalobah love - he joined the club at 8 and he is loyal, etc. But in all honesty I never thought he was good enough for us. We play out from the back and we play in a way that he is not the most suitable for. Of course take him back until the end of the season - we have injuries - but he is not a long-term solution for us. imho

He is a solid squad player perfectly capable of passing out from the back and helps saves us from spending £40m or so on a replacement.

That is what is best for Chalboah. Sure it is good for us to keep him on the bench, but for the lad Chalboah he needs to play at this point in his career. that is the real Chalboah love.

Anything that keeps Disasi off of the pitch for us is a good thing, surely.

Bringing in average players (or keeping formerly world class players past their sell by date) to play a squad role is how we've ended up losing elite academy prospects down the years. I really thought we learned from the Hall situation.

That's literally not possible, there's only so many spaces. Someone has to be rotation/back up. What's best for Chalboah is entirely down to him, he clearly didn't want to leave in the first place and me personally I would rather play 15-20 games a season for a top club than start every game at a team like Palace.

How can you be upset about Chalobah returning when we have Disasi and Badiashile still in the squad?

January 15, 20251 yr Glad he's back but just makes us look stupidly embarrassing. Less than six months ago the manager completely froze him out because "we have Axel and Tosin there" and five months later he has to come back because the two he mentioned by name is a bit sh*t. What a way to run a football club. And you just know they'll try to shift him again in the summer so they can buy another dud from somewhere.

No, it is possible. It is possible for a player at 25 - or younger or older - to always be included and not to be rotated or to be back up. [logic]
January 15, 20251 yr Not good enough to be a regular starter, (who is at this point), but you can't knock his love for the club though. Bomb squad in the summer, stripped of his number, then agrees to come back where he might cover an injury "crisis"( Still 4 other fit centre backs as things stand), and maybe play about 8-10 games, before no doubt being thrown back in the bomb squad over the summer, so we can try and comply with psr, after missing out again on Champions league football. Welcome back Trevoh

All because of poor decisions from the sporting directors and owners. Same with Conor etc. The manager may have been the one making the statements but he was just passing on what he had been told by the sporting directors. Clearly they were looking to sell the academy players over their own mistakes, since they brought in pure profit.

Because two wrongs don't make a right (that plus Badiashille was rightly made back up for Colwill, where we just know Chalobah will be picked ahead of Josh regardless cause experience). Also in the context of Marescas system Josh, Fofana, Gusto and James is more than enough for that RCB role in that back 3, even with two of them having injury issues (and Chalobah isn't exactly super reliable on that score either, partly what caused the Disasi signing in the first place).
