Our best performance so far was probably vs palace but palace had only two player who can attack. Point/Result wise we have been ok but performance wise we have been poor. i agree. I think our points/results against the teams we have played haven't been great though. We should have 9 points with the games we've had.

I think we are a billion pound team on paper but no billion pound team has Jackson as their nailed down st, have Sanchez as their no 1 gk, heck we even have few player who I am not sure they belong in PL.

I disagree with this or anything where the cost of the team dictates where they should be now in their development. Even a 3bn pound team needs time to become a team, to learn tactics and what the manager wants, etc. The cost of the team doesn't negate all that these kids need to learn or dictate how fast. The money/cost was for "potential" but they still need to learn to play the game together and that will take time. Edited September 17, 20241 yr by Simplymo

Named MOTM too… if his name was cónor galgáron and from Spain we would’ve paid £125m for him this past summer… Or if his name was Kirnan Dewsbury-Hall. Carney Chukwuemeka is the next mistake we are going to make. It is akin to re-loading the shotgun and shooting the other foot!!! Buena suerte en España Conor.

Give over, bored of hearing that excuse. Sanchez, Gusto, Fofana, Colwill, Cucurella, Enzo, Caicedo, Palmer, Madueke and Jackson have all played together for at least a year now, that's 10 players that are in our starting 11 that don't need time to 'gel'.

When you're bored, could you break down the ages and top-level experience of 2004 and 2024? I'm genuinely curious how this would compare, and I'm too lazy to research that myself 😁

Now we spend even more money than ever and actually plunge down the table , with a new manager every season , new players, different tactics, playing in the Europa Conference League, and have to believe that our record spending shouldn't be a factor when we judge how we are doing. But we've finally put to bed the idea that Chelsea are able to " buy" success by simply spending record amounts ! f**king hell, if we have another pony season I don't know where would we go . Come on you BLUES!

Apart from what Valerie kindly pointed out. Wasn't the plan also that it would take a season or 2 for these kids to settle. Yes, I agree they should definitely have progressed on a "social" level, especially the ones you mention, but it's a new manager and system they are also learning. So adding the fact they bought kids to grow together over a few seasons and added more this summer! And add new manager and tactics...realistically if we are going to be reasonable, are we really far from where we should be atm, after 4 games? I haven't even added the chaos going on around the squad with no mature experienced players in the changing room telling them to ignore the outside noise and focus on the game/session/etc instead.

September 22, 20241 yr Another goal for Conor this evening, and what a cracker it was. Great hit from outside the box through a crowded defence. Oh, and another MOTM according to Whoscored as well. Edited September 22, 20241 yr by Sexyfootball

September 24, 20241 yr It does seem like everyone bar Mount is thriving at their new clubs. Gallagher was always going to be a Simeone love child. Hopefully we sell Disasi and Chalobah has a role.
September 27, 20241 yr And .... another one ! Back to back MOTMs ... Thought he'd do well at Atletico, but didn't expect him to establish himself so quickly as their best player ! (and top scorer LOL)
