I haven't been very impressed so far, but I wouldn't sell him yet. He was promising against Palace in a more advanced role. Let's get him some more game time there and see how he goes. He just doesn't suit playing deeper, as his control and passing isn't up to standard in those tight areas.

You realize this summer we need to recoup some funds, particularly if we want this rebuild to go ahead?

Gallagher could fetch us around 40-50m.

James could recoup us a lot as well, doesn't mean we should sell him. There are plenty  of others I'd have on the list before Gallagher.

Yeah even with his injury record James has to be the individual player we could make the most on a single sale, probably at least 100mill. Does not mean we should do it as you said.

A good squad option for what aspirations exactly? I look at our midfield week after week and I feel nauseous. Only Chelsea fans have this conundrum where they criticize their players for not being good enough whilst at the same time saying they are. 

Who do we sell in midfield exactly to bring in players like Caicedo and Enzo? Kante and Jorginho are leaving on a free.

Far as I'm concerned the three players that will fetch us the most value are Pulisic, Gallagher, and Ziyech. In that order.

Struggle to see Pulisic fetching more than Gallagher. Could probably get a decent fee for Havertz too.

Just a matter of how much Potter rates Havertz. 

 

This whole mass exodus talk that is doing the rounds on the rumor mill is a bit far fetched when you consider the reality we are in. We have RLC who is on 120kpw. Who on earth is taking him on? Or Koulibaly.

Those three players are the only players we can realistically recoup some funds. Add Mendy and possibly another Lukaku loan.

He is good squad option a top 6 push and his potential can make him good enough for a title challenging team.  

I personally would sell Pulisic, Auba and Ziyech. If we get anymore insane offers for CHO I would sell too but I doubt it now he's got the new contract. 

Unless he improves massively I don’t see what he brings to us.. poor technique.. usually poor positioning when receiving the ball means he can’t always access all parts of the field.

full marks for attitude and drive and enthusiasm but other attributes are very average.

Give him as much time as he needs, we still need to sell players to not get completely f**ked for FFP and we have adequate cover in his position with Mount/Havertz/Chukwuemeka/Santos/Casedei/Kovacic (assuming Kante and J5 are gone in summer. Is it worth having £50m on the bench for how often he turns up?

How have you come to that conclusion? There is virtually nothing to suggest Gallagher can develop a technical level to play for a top side, an area that he is extremely lacking. Is it because he looked good at Palace where they play scrappy football? Where work rate beats technical ability? 

Pulisic and Ziyech could fetch us 50-70m but this still leaves the conundrum that is our inflated midfield of average to poor quality. Some need to go to bring in who we want, and I'd rather keep Kante and Zakaria as depth over Gallagher and RLC. 

Personally if we got a decent offer i would sell. He reminds me of robbie savage and not just the looks, he can be a pain for the opposition but a limited player. 

Though i would definitely sell a few others before him if that was an option.

CHO only has 18 months on his contract. Can see us losing him on the cheap in the summer.

And Kante will allegedly be getting an incentivized contact.

Ruling out those in bold given their wages and Aubameyang having a year left on his deal and will get only peanuts. 

Mendy, Ziyech, and Pulisic could fetch us 60-80m. Potter rates Havertz.
