January 30, 20233 yr We need to drive the price to 60m. We need the backup and it's near the end of the window. Jorgi, Kova, Kante and Conor is a better midfield option than Jorgi, Kova, Kante and RLC

Hence my desperation to let go some of our academy/homegrown players that simply aren't good enough. Nothing against Gallagher personally. But his skill set isn't suited for how we want to play football.
January 30, 20233 yr This came out of nowhere. I have mixed feelings. On one hand I think Connor is still young enough to improve and I like the energy he brings to the pitch but on the other that is a lot of money to turn down. I think this deal will ultimately depend on if we get Enzo. I can see us selling him if we get Enzo. Edited January 30, 20233 yr by Frankie8Lampard

January 30, 20233 yr Everton paid £45m for Gordon, so I feel that we should ask more than that for Gallagher as he's a superior player. Though I'd be sad to see him go, I'd understand if we brought in Enzo Fernandez (or we could just send them Jorgi/RLC instead).

His ambition goes as far as being the James Milner on the team.
January 30, 20233 yr I'd rather keep him. He had a slow start, but he's been improving lately and I want to see what he can do in a Chelsea shirt a bit more.
January 30, 20233 yr I do like him, would be a shame to let him go. Unfortunately I don’t think we will ever receive a better bid for him so it’s whether the club believe there is a long term future for him. We should have sold CHO for £35m when we had the chance. The arguement will be whether Conor has shown enough to warrant a first team place.

Even with Ziyech’s good form, we have Sterling & Madueke as RWs also. Think we need to get rid of 2 players presently for the PL list, signing Enzo will make it 3 .

Academy players will generate 100% profit whereas those you have mentioned would only generate % of profit over the book value. Ruben will be here until his contract is up I can almost guarantee that.
January 30, 20233 yr He’s been a £5m player this season and despite recent upturn if we look at the bigger picture, there isn’t really a place for him. So this kind of money + being able to technically make profit FFP-wise, it’s a no brainier but of course he’ll block the move and fair enough as it’s Everton 😅
January 30, 20233 yr I like Connor, he has great drive and is a Chelsea boy. It would be good to see him, Enzo and a holding midfield become a new Maka, Essien and Cesc for us. However if he is not going to get minutes, and we are pushing hard for a visa for Aundrey as Potter apparently wants him in asap, if we can get Newcastle and Palace to cough up 50mill plus then sadly he may be sacrificed for Enzo.

January 30, 20233 yr I'm more on the side that it's too late for Gallagher to really develop that technical level to play for a top side. Scrappy football suits him and there isn't anything wrong with that.
January 30, 20233 yr I think it would be a big mistake to sell him, but i can see him going unfortunately. We have so few players willing to battle and fight, we shouldn't be selling one of the ones who does.
January 30, 20233 yr Still haven't seen the player we all saw at Palace last season and that got him on the England radar. This season has not been what you'd call at all 'stable' so its not that surprising he's not done as well, not many of the players have. I'd flog RLC or Chalobah before getting rid of Connor and as said above a loan is a waste of time from an accounting standpoint. Bye Bye Connor, hope you do well wherever you go to make us all feel bad about the sale !
