December 4, 20223 yr I don’t see the England team as a whole i see a bunch of players I don’t like from other premier league clubs who have annoyed me for years Edited December 4, 20223 yr by azpi28
December 4, 20223 yr England were slow and a bit dodgy in those first 30 minutes, they need to be much more alert against France. They took complete control after the first goal though.
December 4, 20223 yr Author Two cracking QF's on paper, four previous finalists, with maybe Portugal, Brazil, Croatia and Spain making it 8/8

December 4, 20223 yr Looking forward to see England vs France, I think that the way Southgate has prepared the matches both during the Euro and now, that it suits the majority of English players to not have the obvious role of the favorite, when you consider that France is trying to defend their World Cup title and just how some of their players are, they might just be way more arrogant so it's possible that we might even see France getting heavily beaten if the key players like Kane keep calm and just take their chances. The obvious red flag is Walker going against Mbappe on that side of the pitch, in the first half he got away with committing fouls on Sarr without getting booked, England not having James might become the main factor if a loss against France happens. But I honestly believe that England could very well punish the cocky French if the gameplan is clear to stand off and wait for some fast combinations and once the French team is in a total shock just finish them off and run away with a 2:0 victory out of the blue...
December 4, 20223 yr England drop Sterling and Mount and beat the African championship with ease. Hmm.

Let’s isolate one of the most creative players in Europe to tailor Mount. It’s stuff like this where I take offense. I’ve also been pretty vocal on Havertz, Pulisic, etc. This make no sense. Nkunku is more a fw, mount is more a midfielder. Soon we will have conversations should we play jorgi or silva. 🤪🤪

I for one will only see more problems spending 70m on an attacker just to play him out of position.
December 5, 20223 yr Senegal prepared to stop us, two men in front of Maguire whenever he took a step forward, two men marking Maguire in the opposition box for corners and Harry Kane being marked and normally fouled by two men too. I think we did well today to put three past them. Decent goals too, now on to beat the French, Portuguese and lose to Brazil in the final. Poch thinks it will be an Argie vs England final now that would be something as it looks like the best two supported teams. Those Senegalese fans with the painted faces and hats were neat too, never stopping supporting even at 3 down.

With a fw as a 10 you don't want to play two fw as winger because if everyone is up high waiting for the ball, you can't get the ball forward. Hence you need to have one of the winger to drop more. This is a role that suit Mount perfectly. Unless you prefer to play more of out n out winger

He's even expressed recently he's best as a #8, and playing out of position this whole time has stalled his development imo. Far as I'm concerned we play Mount at winger to help our midfield. Fix the midfield I don't see the need anymore. Rotate himself and Nkunku at CAM.
