Not allowing Benzema to organize their attack is making all the difference now and our press is now controlling the game. Tuchel learned from the last match and adjusted while Carlo is still playing their default.

Though I can't help to feel like the goal came a bit spontaneously so I'm worried that we might not know how to score another one...

Get the ball to Havertz?

Mount has his one goal already, no one else is a likely scorer.

Really good half by us. If I’m critical at all we’ve been in good possession in dangerous zones and failed to deliver the ball in. Only negative really is Reece getting himself booked… if your going to get a yellow at least do an Eddie Grey on him!

If this was Liverpool they would be positive in the studio, comments like "they still need one or two more to take this to ET"....

Cause they want us to lose?

Or let Alonso cut inside maybe...

Having a striker like Benzema is great because no matter how sh*tty the team plays, he just needs that sliver of a chance to end the game.

That's a proper 100m player

And no way we shut him down for the whole game. All he needs is one half chance. No messing about, in the back of the net.

Two of them probably do, Joe Cole should be more positive as well,

We also cannot expect such a good second half from us and such a poor second half from them. No way, they are the 13 time winners they are not going to blow the work they did in the first leg. Not with a coach like Carlo.

If anything, it's with a coach like Carlo that you can try for an upset. If this was against Pep or Klopp we would be bombarded with attacks from everywhere

What happened to the lovely ref kits from last season? Where are the pink socks?

The Yellow all day long

Agreed. As long as Real are in a winning position overall they will not panic. If we go 2-0 up they will be forced to change tactics and that might be interesting. Still we have done brilliantly so far to keep the tie close and give ourselves a chance.

If we go 2 up unfortunately I think we will go back to our sideways, backwards turgid football and go out. Keep it going boys ktbffh

Does anyone see Real Madrid not scoring though? McMahamon made a good point. If vinicius goes at James, could get James sent off.

He has tried to go at James the whole 1st half…

We are playing Real Madrid not Southampton. Lol

Yes but the one area where Alonso can do well is in the Real Madrid's box regardless of who he's playing so might as well go all in.

Is a good point. James is bound to go because they will be all over the ref for it. And AC nor Trev would be able to handle it.
