Lewandowski

So Barcelona is buying Lewandowski 34, Alonso 31 and could get also Azpilicueta 32...

Anyway if we had a chance to get him and it would ship Rom back to Serie A I would do it.

Can't imagine why he would come to Chelsea tbh - only explanation for me would be that he had a complete outfall with the higher ups at Bayern ultimately (yet Barca can't find enough money - which seems impossible hahaha). Not totally impossible but he's a model professional so not that likely. The main / sole reason IMO why he wanted to leave is the Ballon d'Or. You can shoot as many goals as he does but he needs the bigger global reach Barca or Madrid have to really have a shot at the trophy.

Last thing I would want to read is some LongtimeLurker post saying there are already personal terms agreed upon etc pp to get my hopes even higher up 😄

I'm looking forward to this new Barcelona. Half the players going for the high press, while the aging players struggling to keep up. Any decent counterattacking team will rip them apart.

I'm honestly surprised that so many top players still want to go to Barcelona.  History yes, but they have mortgaged the club just to sign players.  They've been run worse than a football manager team to the point that it cost them Messi.  They're consistently overpaying players and then asking players to take pay cuts.  They're trying to push players out the door just to try and balance the books somewhat.  It doesn't seem like a solid foundation that I'd be excited to go to but it is what it is.

And the sorry truth is without the Little Argie maestro, they are nothing, All the power is with those other Spanish sh*t-houses.

They've sold 10% of their La Liga TV rights with a further 15% in the process of being sold, also half of their merchandising company is sold, they are literally selling their future for the now. I can't see how they aren't f**king themselves unless they are banking on football continually growing and inflating.

They've also sold their stadium naming rights but that is fair play I suppose, but moving even further away from being mes que un club.

They don't. Same thing happened last year too. Probably why they were so happy with letting De Jong leave

i've read in detail about their financial situation and they're really in some deep deep sh*t

they're so desperate they're selling 10% of their tv rights for the coming 25 years for 207 million, they then want to sell another 15% of their tv rights (to Sixth Street), that's their so called second lever. So in total they're selling 25% of their tv rights for the coming 25 years to Sixth Street. The tv rights were worth 165.7 million last year. 10% of that amount over 25 years amounts to 415 million. So there they are already losing 208 million. If they sell the other 15% they will lose out on 1.037 billion in favour of having 517.5 million they can use right now. And that's not even considering the TV rights will probably go up over the years which in all likely hood will make them lose closer to 2 billion just for the gratification of their massive ego and so they can sign a couple of players. And then they have debts that they had to pay or they where going to go bankrupt so they took out another loan with Goldman & Sachs to repay that and now they will have to pay interest on that and pay off that debt within 15 years.

They are going to go down, it's a matter of time, and i can't wait till they finally realise they can no longer pretend to be a big club. By that time we can probably pick up Gavi, Nico and Pedri for a 150 million package deal so they can pay off their debt so they won't go bankrupt. in 6 years or so they will be in their prime…so let's just be patient

i imagine the players who all want to join Barcelona aren't really aware of this, as it is in an agents interest to sell them to Barcelona knowing that it's a matter of time before Barcelona are forced to sell them again, netting them a nice agent fee. Also it might be appealing to be the last generation of players who can play for Barcelona while they still exist.

Barcelona at this point is nothing more than a Potemkin village

Just praying they crash out of the group stages of the CL again. It's a pity its such a cheap league so there is nobody else to halt their CL qualification each year. They would be competing with West Ham in the PL
