Spurs hasn't played well for a while now, totally got what they deserved even we'd argue VAR call was a bit suspicious. Without a Kane or Son, they'd be behind us in the league. I think Conte's time will be up sooner than people think, barely 1/3 in the season he already complained about lack of investment. Pretty sure he has done that a few times before.

Extremely overrated coach. I reckon he wants to leave and would jump at the chance to manage Juve again but the Agnelli’s don’t want him. He is using that instability at Juve to get some new signings at Spurs in Jan and/or put out feelers. He has a worse win % in the CL than Solskjaer which is crazy.

Now I've stopped laughing ( well almost), that's a ridiculous decision. That blue dotted line, is that supposed to be where contact with the ball is made ? and where is the ball, that smudge ?

if I had wished that decision on anyone it would be for them !  And Liverpool after they got dodgy ones against us.

time for another laugh !

Didn‘t Conte always say he would never comment on referees? Now he is crying because of the VAR. Mate, it was also VAR that single-handedly drew the game for you against Chelsea despite being outplayed over the whole game. Seeing Conte and Spurs cry is so satisfying. Get fked Tottenham

He's clearly not good in European football, which was ultimately going to be his downfall even if he wasn't such a hard character to deal with.

Roman or not, it wouldn't be acceptable to have such a poor record in the CL, he won the title with Inter but the 25% win rate is just terrible.

just watched back the ending of Atletico - Bayern Leverkusen

madness

very harsh penalty in my opinion

beautiful the way Hrádecký saves it and even the rebound hits the bar

Two questions from this incident

1: Shouldn't the game have stopped immediately as the spot-kick was saved, given the fulltime whistle had already been blown?

2: If they did allow a follow-up: Did Saul encroach before the kick was taken?

Would have been interesting shenanigans if the ball had ended up in the net

Very good question… didn’t think about that. But you would think that your logic is correct. It should have been just the penalty kick like in a shootout . Or maybe they interpret it as the FT is overuled by var so the penalty would be as if it was the 93rd minute (the minute of the incident) so there would be a bit of time left to play

For the second question: I think it doesn’t matter if Saul encroached and they miss. If they score (the penalty or the rebound) it might have mattered. Because him encroaching didn’t give them an advantage. Otherwise you could as the penalty conceding team just encroach a couple of times so the opponent needs to take the penalty over and over again haha

another Cobham graduate (Samuel Iling-Junior) playing CL football

I just rewatched the game and he actually played well, setting up 1 goal with a beautiful cross and being incremental in the 3rd Juventus goal as well

expect to see him get more minutes in this very poor juventus team

But Liverpool aren't treat differently remember.....absolute farce. I hope the next manager they try to ban tells them to get f**ked.

Arsenal losing tonight is good for us as now it means they are not guaranteed top spot unless they win their last game of the group. They will win that game but after losing tonight, means they have extra work to do and that is 3 days before they play us. So they will play a mixed team of fringe players and regulars while if they drew or lost tonight, would have completely played a whole back up 11, while we have guaranteed top spot so can rest every player who will start that big game few days later against Arsenal.

it's also another sign of their unavoidable downfall

The Europa league is looking pretty competitive this season, winning a CL spot from it will not be an easy task as past few years.

I appreciate what Conte has achieved at Chelsea, and now looking at it, think it was the right call to let him go after 2 seasons. He's just too much of a disrupting force, from that stupid text to get rid of Costa, to constantly moaning about lack of investment. The football changed to boring, grinding out results type in very little time, despite the number of good players at his disposal.

I'm optimistic on getting 3 points against Arsenal, they are playing their best 11 more than they need to be, and fatigue will kick it in sooner than they think. Losing a group game is not a big deal, more relevant is they actually played a really strong team, and probably do the similar next Thursday.

It’s good that Arsenal lost (it’s always nice to see them losing) and have to play a strongish team before our match, but I’m not counting with winning it. Like ManU, in the last few seasons they’ve got our number at the Bridge no matter how crap they are so.

Arteta in a previous press conference said something like “that the top players play 70 games a season” when asked about Saka

suggesting that he doesn’t really want to rotate the team that much

Mount had over 40 matches last season and he's a machine, who is that player that found himself involved in 70? Arsenal looks strong now after a few battle but the war is still ongoing...

it's arteta. Don't think he knows what he's talking about

“Look at the top players in the world, they play 70 matches and every three days and make the difference and win the game."
