August 8, 20223 yr 12 months left on his contract. can totally see this happen and would be happy with this another PL proven player who would improve our attack He shouldn’t cost us too much. Probably 10 to 15 million on top of what we get for Werner. Edited August 8, 20223 yr by azpi28
August 8, 20223 yr Hope this doesn't happen. I was okay with Auba but not Zaha. He's no better than the forwards we currently have.

He's far better than the dross we currently have There's literally not a single thing on the football pitch Zaha doesn't do much better than Pulisic. Ziyech actually has a niche but he can't offer what Zaha can either. I'm genuinely surprised we didn't sign Zaha a month ago. It just makes too much sense. Werner and Ziyech want to leave, Pulisic is Pulisic While a premier league proven consistent double digit goal scorer with excellent dribbling ability and creativity sits on the last year of his contract at a club he wants to leave. He's even used to being triple teamed by defenders due to being his teams best player which is a big positive given we don't commit anyone forward from midfield he'll have to deal with that here. 30m or so for Zaha would be an incredible coup. We already saw how refreshing having someone who can actually beat players was with Sterling against Everton. Having Zaha on the pitch at the same time would make our attacking play much more enjoyable. Edited August 8, 20223 yr by HazardousChoice
August 8, 20223 yr Author I like watching him play and i wouldn't mind him joining us. Would be nice to see what he can do for us. he is a good dribbler and can take out defenders on his own + he has a bit of that aggressiveness that i personally like to see in our team. He wouldn't be our direct solution to our lack of goals but i don't think thats why he's targeted anyway. Progressive Carries top 2%, Progressive Passes top 4 %, Dribbles Completed top 2% and Pressures top 10% + Tackles top 1% this is what we need. Someone who can speed up our play and bring the forwards movement we are lacking in our play and who has the required defensive capabilities. Edited August 8, 20223 yr by azpi28

August 8, 20223 yr Good player but From watching quite a few palace games with him playing he just stands out because hes the only good forward they have, I'm not sure he'd end up better than anyone else and hes 29, However if its for a low fee and sensible wages hes worth a shout
August 8, 20223 yr Bring in krusty the clown if needs be, We just need an outlet and goals from another forward!

But surely we don't have enough ineffectual wide players with little guile and creativity, who love the floor and can't keep off it, who love to moan and wave their arms around as if its always someone else's fault, who just do enough once or twice a year to keep the media fires stoked that they are better than they actually are. Yeah let's get him in. Let's add him to the collection.

Yeah let's get him in. Let's add him to the collection. Is that not where the game has gone? Perfected by frazzle face with ronaldo and now its part of the game which is why players play into it Its also from having so many players at or above a certain level, If everyone's as good as each other or close then you have to search for any advantage you can find Thats why i hated frazzle faces ronaldo show 'charge at the defence and get the pen' and now its a tool every other player has!
August 8, 20223 yr I wouldn’t say Zaha is bad by any stretch but I just don’t understand how he is a real improvement on what we have? id rather stick with whichever out of Werner, Pulisic, CHO he would potentially replace
August 8, 20223 yr I suppose the main question other than Why, is errm, actually i can't think of a question other than WHY?!
August 8, 20223 yr Big fish, small pond. Not good enough for Chelsea. This is exactly the type of signing we should be avoiding. Doesn't help us win titles. Isn't a massive improvement, if at all. 29 years old with a likely 5 year contract means we'll be stuck with him on high wages.
August 8, 20223 yr 10 minutes ago, WhiteWall said: I suppose the main question other than Why, is errm, actually i can't think of a question other than WHY?! Because our forward options are. Mount - Central player playing wide Havertz - central player playing wide Broja - central player playing wide. Cho - wants to leave Ziyech - wants to leave Werner - wants to leave/left Pulisic - the guy who's so bad our central players keep getting played out wide. Sterling is the only winger we have with a shred of pace and creativity. I think everyone can agree we need another winger and I'm really not sure why people would turn their noses up at Zaha being cheap due to his contract situation. Now you can argue he isn't absolutely top class but he won't be coming for a top class fee and i've yet to hear of a top class alternative we could sign this summer. We won't find a more proven player for the 30 or so million he'd cost and the idea he isn't a massive improvement on what we have is absolutely absurd. Edited August 8, 20223 yr by HazardousChoice

Get all of that, but still don't see what Wifired Zaha would do other than just be added to that bunch. If Everton want Gilmour and Barkley in some manner, then why not go for Demarai Gray. Direct wide player with pace but perhaps not quite the same size chip on his shoulder
August 8, 20223 yr CHO, Ziyech and Werner all off so we need replacements, Zaha is definitely better in the attacking position than mount and he's better finisher than Havertz

Would certainly take at a decent price and a reasonable wages.
August 8, 20223 yr Those that want him....give your head a shake. The team needs world class players (what ever that is these days) Zaha is not one of them or anywhere close to it. If he was that good other teams would have tried to sign him long ago, plus he hasn't got a defensive brain in his head and TT wants defensive minded players first, goal scorers 2nd. He's been playing in a mid-table team most of his career, stepping up to a top 4/6 level is too much for him and if Todd wants to keep spending like a drunken sailor then look elsewhere. A big fat NO from me.

Demarai Gray has never been the standout player in a comfortably midtable Premier league like Zaha has been. He just isn't in the same class as Wilf. The only player at Everton I'd consider taking is Gordon but he's very much one for the future while Zaha is a big step up right now albeit from a very low bar. August 8, 20223 yr He fell of a cliff and couldn't handle the pressure when he went to Man Utd. It'd be a strong no for me.
