makes no sense to have 200M  worth of pivot playing midfielders, Enzo 105M , Caicedo another over 100M .  We saw Enzo last season,  We need to focus on getting a goal scorer

These big money signings never seem to work out for us anyway. Could be a blessing in disguise.

That’s probably fair as reality is we can afford the full 110M, we just choose not to pursue based on our own valuation.

Moving away from our failure on this. Is rather telling that a player, for months we were told, only wanted Chelsea, heart set on Chelsea, can have a change of heart in hours and be off to Liverpool.

 

 

Some are saying Brighton won't accept an offer from us matching Liverpools. They gave their word that the highest bidder wins and the deadline passed with Liverpool on top.

So unless Caicedo really does want us and turns them down is certainly over.

We should go all in to get Kudus now before Brighton get the money from Liverpool.

Lets say we had bid 110 and had it accepted would people on here really be happy? There were a lot on here who didn't even want us to go higher than 80m. 110m would have likely meant that we would be unable to sign anybody else this window. I am still hoping we can bring some cover in for striker and attacking mid.

What’s to stop him from saying he wants to join Chelsea? I mean, does he have no say in the matter? Just because Brighton accepted a higher bid, why is he obliged to go to Liverpool? 

Given what’s happening at real, maybe it is time to look at Tchouameni.

Exactly my point. He very likely talked to Pochettino, our higher ups, knows the "Chelsea project". If he dumps thar idea in w4 hours how can anything think he really wanted to be here?
