I’d like to see Chukwuemeka and Broja to start, and possibly try Casadei to check how he can do in the first team.

That would be very nice.

I'd imagine we will see Broja and Chuks both start.

In terms of travelling and maybe playing, Hutchinson, Casadei, Beech, Hall, Webber, Burstow i'd imagine will travel for sure. Maybe even a few others.

why the f**k are we playing Arsenal for Sunday breakfast?

Sunday because of them being in the Europa league. Kickoff time probably due to a combination of TV and the cops.

Just means you get to enjoy less of your Sunday before we get whopped.

Seen a few places say Hutchinson is not part of the CL squad.

The following is from WAGNH:

"Still, it would be nice to see some youngsters, such as Lewis Hall or Charlie Webster or Dion Rankine or Ben Elliott or Silko Thomas or Alfie Gilchrist or Bashir Humphreys or Josh Brooking, and so on. Unfortunately neither Omari Hutchinson nor Cesare Casadei nor Mason Burstow nor Zak Sturge nor Dylan Williams can play as they are not eligible for the B List (have not been here for 2+ years yet) and were not registered as part of the first-team at the start of the campaign."

Dion Rankine, Charlie Webster and Lewis Hall should definitely be getting a game tomorrow. There is nothing at stake for us and it would be a great opportunity for them. I would rather give these players a chance than risk getting any more first team players injured in advance of the Arsenal game.

Is Rankine a CB, FB or wingback?

With that in mind then, maybe a 4231

Mendy

Dave

Chalobah

Humphries

Cucurella

Jorginho

Zakaria (lol)

Carney

Webster

Hall

Broja

Kouli is back so rest Chalobah.

Agreed with that. Also worth noting that most of the youth players in contention have been playing in the U19 version of the competition this season against the same teams, and have been comfortably beaten several times. So we should keep our expectations reasonable.

I'm expecting a defeat.

Very possible. Hoping for an entertaining game but the result is not important in this one. I would happily trade in a result in this one for a positive result on Sunday 🙂

A positive vibe would perhaps, possibly, maybe, help on Sunday. For me anyway

Is he really back or is he likely to break down if used?

Yeah I read that, WTF have they been playing at? That is embarrassing we are supposed to have one of the best academies about.

Graham Potter gave the standard responses in his press conference.

Respecting the competition, the Zagreb and Salzburg still have things to fight for.

Youngsters involved but again being respectful, looking to win. Zakaria in the squad as he has been, training well, supporting team mates, we will see.

Kepa out, Kova doubtful, Koulibaly fit if not reaction.

So I expect this side:

Mendy

Dave

Chalobah

Koulibaly

Pulisic

RLC

Jorginho

Chilwell

Havertz

Aubameyang

Sterling

The Group is won, rampant Gooners visit on Sunday, for once GP please rotate the F out of the team so that we have a few days of good preparation and rested legs to try and compete on Sunday.

Mendy

Back 4 anyone except Silva

Carney Zakaria + 1

Broja + 2

Players who should feature: Cucu (bc I don’t want him near A lineup), Mendy, Broja, Pulisic, Ziyech, Zakaria (if possible), Chukwuemeka, Aubameyang, Sterling..

A "square pegs in square holes" 4-3-3 for me for tonight. Most will question having Ziyech in there at RW, but I basically picked our two best out-and-out wingers, which is Sterling and Ziyech all day long.

Zakaria to anchor the midfield 3 at DM, with Gallagher and Chukwuemeka in the more advanced roles, with a brief to get into the box as much as possible.

After the dismal performance on the weekend, we just need to regain some confidence before the Arsenal game.

Hopefully we end on the group stages on a high.

Play the benchwarmers and kids if possible. Rest the starting 11.

If we can top the group, great. If not, it's fine. This won't be the year we can challenge for the CL.
