Brighton also have no expectations of challenging for anything. We should see him in the squad next season, though I think it's a preseason shootout between Carney and Cassedei.

Not so sure about that. Looking at West Hams successes in Europe over the last few seasons, I'm sure that Brighton under de Zerbi will think that they have a good shout at the Europa League next season.

Excited to see him this season.

Me too, the kid is really amazing.

I dont se what we need to buy Caicedo , we got Santos and plenty of young players

Because neither of which are ready to be relied upon. Insane amount of pressure. Neither of which are also as defensively strong as Caicedo.

Caicedo and Enzo is ready now. Santos needs to be bed in slowly. Caicedo's first season at Brighton was pretty rough.

Santos is said to be one of the 4/5 midfield options we will for sure keep in the first team this season.

Enzo

Santos

And 2 or 3 other options. Could be a spot for Casadei and/or Hall.

Personally think Lewis Hall is the most deserving of any youngster we have in midfield to be given a chance.

Doesn’t have a future in midfield imo. Should keep developing as a LB.

Hmm I would sooner he focuses on his main position and not become a RLC.

Think he has gifts for passing and crossing. Defensively a bit suspect.

His passing and crossing have improved immensely. He has also worked on using his right foot. (I wish Chilly would) At 18 he's going to be defensively suspect particularly given his lack of game time over the whole season. I'm interested to see Pochettino's plans for him.

Crazy comment to make about an 18 year old that's played a grand total of *checks notes* 55 minutes of adult football at CM against a high energy Liverpool.

That Liverpool weren't that high energy in fairness.

With the way the tactical shift seems to be heading he'd likely be effectively playing CM while we have possesion anyway.

I like him at LB. Given space and takes advantage of his chance creation ability as an outlet.

Always saw him as a Zinchenko type. In midfield just don't see him as an option considering of who we already have. (and want to have).

Is Santos expected to be in the squad for the coming season? I read a line in a news article that said he and Gusto would arrive after loans, but I thought he didn't qualify for a visa and would have to remain in Brazil until he gets enough international football under his belt.

Pretty sure his visa is now officially approved.

Since he didn't qualify for the visa he's played first division football in Brazil and got an international cap.

An international cap for Brazil pretty much guarantees you get the visa.

Andrey Santos is set to join FC Porto on loan.

FC Porto appreciate Andrey Santos. However, at the moment, there is no agreement with #Chelsea, who are yet to make any decision over his future. Mauricio Pochettino will make a verdict during pre-season over his future.

Would be disappointing to go on loan. Was looking forward to seeing him play.
