Completely agree. He's been a considerable weak link to our general play, and that's how you'll end up 3-0 down at half time against a good team while the G/A fawners are confused as to wtf happened. Either hiding or wasteful in progression or a complete liability in transition. Of course his work near the box has some value as the new signings are still settling, but Maresca needs to consider a more balanced profile like Santos.

To be fair - I would take a goal and assist every game, even if the performance was a 2/10.

Someone who scored and assisted each game, would be the best player in the world - regardless if he was Jackson levels of trash for the remainder of the game.

That's fine, but the "goal and assist" was a corner and penalty, things we have plenty of other players able to do as well if not better. So if the rest of his game is garbage then hes not worthy of a place.

I'm convinced that I could have put a prime Eden Hazard as my profile picture and the next game he'd have a generational stinker.

Enzo was terrible yesterday, barring a few good corner deliveries everything else was awful, even the penalty he took was absolute dog and he was lucky it didn't get saved.

Let's get this right. The modern game is all about letting opponents go past you with relative ease and and also to mis-place passes and lose possession on a regular basis?

I don't know why people get so upset over asking for better. Are you denying that he is struggling on the transition? are you denying that he is giving away possession on the counter? are you denying that his lack of agility and overall athleticism is making it difficult for our midfield? No? so what's the issue with the criticism exactly?

I like Enzo, but I don't think he is suited to every game. All I ask is that Maresca find the right time to use him, not in every game. It's also very apparent that he is exhausted. He is seriously struggling to keep up at this point and needs a break. We all know how hard this season is going to be, so is it wise to play him in every single game?

As usual you share the exact same view as the other one so why would I even bother to point out your nitpicking here when it's obvious that Enzo's role is much more than how a few of you imagine it in your heads, Enzo is by all means one of the most hard working players the club has and he has been like that since day 1, he tries as physically possible to cover as much ground as he can and he also tried to deliver in the final third, it's only your problem to focus on whatever negative you can hold on to.

Reality is he scored the penalty and delivered the cross that leads to the goal.
