April 8, 20233 yr It is mathematically possible, and you could see us losing all of our games from this point the way we are playing. But looking at the teams in the bottom 3, Everton and Forest would have to win 4 of their last 8 games to pull level on points. Again possible but on current form looks unlikely. Now if you are talking about next season....
April 8, 20233 yr The fact that it's mathematically possible with the season being close to an end is depressing, however, we're not going to get relegated. It blows my mind how a team of this quality is so low in the table, if it wasn't for the fact I resorted to laughing rather than crying I would be raging, the players should be ashamed of themselves. I say this as someone who was very critical of Potter (I still am), but how can these players sit there and be okay with the fact that they finished lower half of the table one season.
April 8, 20233 yr I think v unlikely but I worry when I see people say eg: “can’t wait for this season to be over”. There seems to be an assumption it can’t get worse than this. It can. 2023/24? Edited April 8, 20233 yr by Dean
April 8, 20233 yr It's virtually impossible, every time we lose, a team below us will also lose. If you think it's even faintly possible take up skybets 1000/1 odds.

April 8, 20233 yr I don’t think it will happen. My prediction is we will either end the season where we currently are or 1 to 2 positions above it.
April 8, 20233 yr I don't think it will happen but here's a scary thought Trevor Brooking arguably West Ham's greatest player took over at the end of the season they got relegated ditto Alan Shearer and now Lamps.
April 8, 20233 yr Extremely unlikely this season. Very likely we finish 10th or lower though, which is enough of a disgrace
April 8, 20233 yr When I first looked at our last dozen fixtures, I thought "tough run in, but 5 of them are very winnable, almost bankers ... " ... and we've already lost two and drawn one of those five LOL We won't get relegated, but I can certainly see a scenario whereby we end up, say, 14th or 15th ... we haven't beaten a team in the top half all season, and 6 of our last 8 games are against sides in the top half, and the other two are against relegation-threatened Bournemouth, who have been picking up more points than us recently, and Forest, who will be absolutely desperate and all hands to the pump by the time we play them.

April 9, 20233 yr We’ve got 39 points, you have to go back 12 years since a team was relegated with that amount of points. There are still 8 games left, we aren’t going to lose every remaining game. More chance of winning the CL than going down. Daft thread.
April 9, 20233 yr I ran it through a simulator, if we lose every game and the teams below us win every game and draw against each other, we'd still be safe with a win on the final day. This is a stupid thread.

April 9, 20233 yr That`s a bit of a silly poll. We will not get relegated no matter what. Thank god Tuchel got us a decent amount of games at the beginning of the season.
