As seen with Guimares yesterday despite being dealt a truly horrifying, life threatening injury, after beating floor and waving his arm around he was brave enough to decline immediate medical assistance from the anxious paramedics and yet, somehow pick himself up and have the fortitude to take, and score, Newcastle's penalty. The excruciating pain these footballers endure with little complaint is truly admirable and an inspiration to us all.

February 11Feb 11 Really disappointing. This miss will hurt for a while. March if shaping up to be brutal and we're going to miss those two points very dearly.
February 11Feb 11 Can't believe he missed that chance, but he's won us so many games by himself over the last couple of years so he's got a lot of credit in the bank. Thought he played well if you put the miss aside.

February 11Feb 11 Yeah watched the miss several times. Can only conclude Cole took his eye off it as it was a perfect pass.Real shame as the play from Caicedo and Gusto was really good.
February 11Feb 11 Cole Palmer is clearly such a talented player, I'm not worried by that miss, just disappointed as a goal from that move would have been totally deserved. I think he's playing with more confidence and swagger again. Shades of the old Palmer were on show, despite the miss.

That one miss that I have seen every player miss doesn't change that.
February 11Feb 11 This is what happens when you don’t have a idiotic ideological manager who believes players like Palmer must be restricted. He’s been freed by Rosenior to go and play, you can see he’s gottten a free role again like under Poch so he’s popping up all over the pitch and the opposition don’t know whether to go with him or stay which creates a lot of space for everyone else.

That kind of progressive football is something that was seriously lacking under Maresca. It gave Palmer, Pedro and Estevao in the 2nd half so much more to feed off.

He still scores a billion goals a season.A bigger issue is that it took us so late in the second half to create a chance of that quality.
February 22Feb 22 Journalist Jason Burt believes Liam Rosenior needs to be stronger with players after Cole Palmer expressed his frustration at being substituted against Burnley.Palmer should have done better with a first half chance, and things were made more difficult in the second after Wesley Fofana got sent off.In response Rosenior took Palmer off and replaced him with Tosin Adarabioyo, and the attacker expressed his frustration at coming off. It’s not the first time Palmer has had that kind of reaction to being taken off, and Burt feels Rosenior needs to be stronger with players.“I really did not like Cole Palmer’s reaction [when he was substituted],” he told Sky Sports News as quoted on X.com.“I think that’s got to stop , you can do it once, but he’s doing it every time he gets substituted. Now, if I’m Rosenior, I’m saying to him, ‘okay, fine, but look at yourself, you miss chances. I had to take somebody off.“And it had to be you look at your own game as well. So I think he needs to be like that with the players as well, a bit more stronger.WHAT A LOAD OF CRAP, PALMER HAS EVERY RIGHT TO BE ANGRY, THE COACH SINGER HAD DONE BUGGER ALL ALL GAME AND ONCE AGAIN PLAYED THE FULL 90 MINUTES
February 22Feb 22 18 months ago when Palmer had even a half chance I was confident it was a goal. Now, one-on-one, or a ball into the box, I just know it's either a miss or he won't even control it properly. Problem is we have no-one else any good to replace him.

If he does is he a starter?Yes and No.When he is 100% match fit he starts without doubt and I would start him ahead of the likes of Foden, Rodgers, Saka, Belligham - whoever..................But right now, he's clearly not anything like 100% and he'll be happy just to be in the squad. Guess TT will leave it as late as he can to see who is fit AND in form.

Should stop rolling his eyes and focus on making an impact on a game, then maybe he won't get hooked.
February 23Feb 23 I think after Fofana's red we should have gone 3 at the back with 3 in midfield and still kept 4 forward. We may have lost yet think the defensive changes gave them the edge.
