People keep saying he forced a move while completely ignoring the reason for it.Would you stay at a company that has spent the last 4 months trying to sack you, hired two replacements then just as you’re moving to a competitor say ooo sorry one of your replacements are poorly we need you to come back until January to cover for them when we’ll try to sell you again.Fair comment, agreed. He's still a twat though 😁
December 31, 2025Dec 31 If there is good news, It looks like Palmer has shaken off the last few months and is returning to top form.

December 31, 2025Dec 31 He can be as numb as he likes so long as he keeps scoring and laying on goals.
January 2Jan 2 Media noise in full swing. Several reports we are open to selling if the price is right. I don’t buy into any of that - just a distraction.

The goal is to make as much money as quickly as possible, sporting success doesn’t even factor into their thinking. If we can make a ‘profit’ on Cole then he’s for sale. It is that simple.

As soon as they ease Salah out, they can have him cutting in from the right hand side, similar to how Salah used to. Why wouldn't he want to move to a big club, rather than staying in the circus these sh*thouses have created.

January 7Jan 7 Are we going to discuss his form or keep insisting he should be England’s No 10 at the World Cup?

At risk of not making the squad just now let alone starting. Seems to be struggling to get over his injury but also rise above the drivel we are producing as a team. The latter doesn't bode well for him if he is to be considered a top class player.

But there were some encouraging signs in the second half. His link up play with Delap was evident too. He is definitely a way off the England frame at present but if he can stay fit hopefully the form will improve.
January 7Jan 7 Very isolated tonight, whenever we get the ball no one shows for him. He either has to take two men on or fire a ball across field to the useless Neto who’s unmarked to run it out of play. He needs Santos on the pitch in the middle to show for him and Gusto busting a lung to get past him to open up space.
January 7Jan 7 He doesn't look match fit at all, he barely broke out of a jog in the first half. That said, it's hardly surprising he looks sh*t without his partner in crime:

Playing these passes has been completely trained out of them. It will take a proper coach to bring that back.

He was out for 2 months and has been back for over a month and racked up over 530 mins in 8 PL games.

(He does seem to have some sort of physical impairment, what it is I have no idea).

I expect a lot of his attitude at the moment is down to a huge amount of frustration, its the first proper bad injury hes had (I think) so has been watching from the side and now hes got back in he just cant influence games like he used to.Hopefully the new guy gets into his head and gets him sorted, it looks like thats the kind of thing Rosenior does well.
January 8Jan 8 Still our most creative player, even when he's only at 50%.His form is a little bit concerning and it's hard to think he has slipped down the England pecking order when he was most peoples pick after the Euro's. He has never had great pace but just used to beat opponents with skill and body movement. Now you start to wonder if they have got wise to that and worked him out a bit? Who knows how much the niggling injuries are effecting him, but very annoying that last night, just as he was starting to influence the game, they decide to take him off and bring on f**king Pedro - what a complete waste of time and substitution that was.
January 8Jan 8 When he was hooked yesterday you can see the camera zoomed in on the coaching staff and you could see them saying we have to take you off we don’t have a choice which all but confirms the medical team is dictating who gets what minutes after injury. So I believe Maresca is vindicated on that front he didn’t have a choice he was TOLD to take players off after certain minutes and to be fair it’s worked with Reece so far as he’s been fit for a while now.
