Cole Palmer signs for Chelsea!

You know with Cole, I wouldn’t begrudge him a move at all, we’re a sinking ship, a faded power, a failing project only heading one way.

When fit he’s a world class talent who should be showcasing that on the biggest stage.

It’s just Utd are in as terrible as state as we are, potentially even worse, depending on their next appointment although I don’t see them going for a sacked Hull City manager quite yet.

A move to City, Liverpool, Real or PSG I could understand. Utd just makes no sense.

The whole side should have been built around Cole Palmer.

Instead they inexplicably (in footballing terms) persist in trying to make Enzo Fernandez the main man.

This utter garbage coming out of Rosenior's mouth this week :

"He's got an extreme skill set, technically he's outstanding, he covers a lot of ground," he said. "He's a very good athlete. He can finish, he can score, he arrives really well in the box when he plays higher up like a forward-running eight or a No. 10.

"What I need to do is find out what the chemistry is around the position. It's not just him, it's how other players fit around him."

All the decisions are being made to try and make Fernandez look like he wasn't an utter waste of money. It's Eghbali's ego that is driving all this nonsense. Bloke cannot admit that he badly f**ked up in signing a pretty average player for such a huge fee.

If Cole's decided he's had enough of this circus of a football club then personally I don't blame him.

At some point I'll prefer to see Cole leave than spend every season worrying that he might.

It's a shame because we still have the tools, even now, to become an absolute juggernaut of world football.

All it takes is for the people in charge to slightly deviate from their failed project. It's like slowly driving a car that has perfectly functional breaks into a wall. All you need to do to avoid the crash is to hit the breaks. Yet, they stubbornly refuse to do so.

I got fed up with listening to Rosenior after his first interview. He's just waffling.

Errrr what?

I would much rather worry he is going to leave for the next 10 seasons whilst he keeps playing for us.

Or would you rather he left to join a rival and every time he played us he scores a brace.

Palmer is going.

Estevao is going.

Caicedo is going.

Reece James is probably going.

We are no longer Chelsea Football Club, we are Clearlake CFC LDN.

We’re a player farming model built on generating profit, what happens on the pitch is totally irrelevant.

Our only hope is that the Big DT tells NATO where to stick it, invades Greenland and then the British Government, just like they did with Russian assets, freeze every Septics assets and we’re sold once more, hopefully to an innocent Israeli businessman by the name of Mr Abramovichbergstein.

It’s the end of days. We all just need to wake up and see it.

Leeds used to be massive, ended up playing in League 1 for how many years?

Forest have 2 European trophies, also ended up in League 1 for how many years?

Our best hope is we only crumble to Post 80’s Everton levels and just have Premier League survival to look forward to.

Coupled with the fact football as a spectator sport is currently in its most boring iteration in my lifetime, this club under this ownership is done, we’re no longer at the top table, we aren’t even getting the top tables crumbs.

So he is fed up with life in London and wants to return to Manchester does he?

Certainly would not be like BlueCo to spin some PR ahead of a possible sale would it?!

The ridiculous part of this is that it's not 1826, it's 2026. He could comfortably commute from Manchester on a daily basis if he wished, with his own driver.

Even more so with this manager whose apparent approach is 'get here whan you can guys and then we'll train'

Think he frequents a comedy club every day unfortunately

Yes but Chelsea is more Gervais style comedy - you laugh at what has become of it. I go to ones that are actually enjoyable.

It’s just football. We were very rarely and extremely briefly ever at the top table for most of the first 100 years of our existence. But supporters still went along and watched the team.

I’m not sure that it is written anywhere that Chelsea FC must permanently be challenging for the top titles for the rest of time (as was the case for Blackpool, Huddersfield, Forest, Everton etc). and especially for the benefit of Twitter fans or people who never pay to watch the team either through match tickets or even paying for a legal football TV subscription.

We've definitely got no right to be permanently challenging for the top titles. Part of being fan is to accept both the good and bad times. That being said it is still frustrating to watch Clearlake effectively scuttle us for the sake of their own chaotic (and mostly failed) rebuild.

Have a lie down. Get some sleep.

And stop believing the utter sh*te on the internet.

But since we’re not supporters any longer but clients, we’ve got every right to demand that our £60+ a ticket gets us some entertainment and we get to watch the team challenge for titles.

It’s fair enough to expect or hope for that. But if you’re not happy with the service being provided, just stop paying for it. I loved Kasabian’s first album and saw them around 15 times in various clubs and venues, but I haven’t liked anything they’ve produced since and thus haven’t seen them live or bought or even streamed an album since.

I do understand the frustration with Clearlake and the way they appear to be steering things, but I just can’t really make it high enough on the list of things that matter to me and my family to lose my sh*t over it like some are.

And maybe I’m not as shocked by it as some are. I appreciate it’s a very uncommon opinion, but despite the Covid European Cup win when we finished 6th in the table, I felt that even under Abramovich, we were losing our way from the early heady days of his ownership.

There’s a lot I agree with there.

Kasabian are sh*te.
