top top goal last night and his chipped effort deserved a goal.

guy sits top of the football tree right now and can pretty much dictate his career as he sees fit.

Palmer is a cheat code, he is brilliant and we are privileged to be living in his world.

Just watched that latest interview with Sky Sports, it’s impossible not to like the bloke however he has some outrageous takes (milky tea being one)

Worth 5 minutes if you’ve time to kill.

He started the game well but faded with everyone else.

Has certainly gone off the boil - maybe carrying a niggle. We needed others to step up but we rely so heavily on Palmer, when he's not at it, we struggle badly.

I also don’t think he can trust his team mates.. both Madueke and Jackson are pants .. technically poor players .. Jackson has robbed him of atleast 5-10 assists this season..

Could be. Maresca spoke about how he, Lavia, Enzo and Colwill did not train before Wolves but Cole was the only one made to play.

He spends half his game now picking the ball up from the defenders to progress play, he looks knackered by the 60th minute.

Then in regards the wingers being sh*t, it will never make sense why Palmer hasn't gone on the right to accomodate Nkunku, or dare i say it Felix. To not even try it is a sackable offense.

I don't want to hear people blaming Palmer at all. He came to the club with zero expectations, yet has outperformed those expectations a lot. To put the pressure on a 21 year old lad to do everything for us is pathetic. We bought Nkunku to be the main man, yet Palmer has been the one who has been a revelation. Sterling was a failure, too. Another player who was supposed to be the one to help us. Jackson was never going to be a 20 goal a season striker as he had never proven to be. If we seriously want to challenge, we need to buy players with a heavy price tag who are proven, but that's harder said than done.

Probably talking about going back in the summer so he can actually win something.

May well have been, or could have been discussed trump, I don't know.

Either way show some respect for the away fans and do it away from the public eye.

I don't think anyone is or ever would blame Palmer, we know the issue is the manager/owners are setting us up so he has no help.

Probably needs a rest and let Christo get a good run of games. We ain’t winning sh*t and getting top 4 isn’t something that is a achievement just to get spanked across Europe.

I don't think it was right he had a happy chat with Pep in full view of our away fans after we got beat.

Should have done that out of the public eye.

Get a grip you daft sod, he was having a chat with an ex manager, he also talked to some old teamates, same as many many players do after games.

Respectful disagree mate.

I didn't like it either. I've always been old fashioned in that respect. There is no way I would be smiling and chatting with former teammates after my team had just lost against a struggling team so convincingly and especially after I struggled in the game myself.

Drogba once had a cuddle with Carragher when we were losing at Anfield.

It's not that deep, and it certainly doesn't hint at lack of character.

Palmer had an interview after the Newcastle game last season where he pretty much conceded this year was going to be another "transition" season.

So reading between the lines, I feel next season will be the one that makes or breaks what he will do longer term.

Maybe I am seeing things that aren't there, but Palmer had a look at Colwill a few times during the celebration of the goal. Don't think he was happy with the mistake and being forced to drag the team out of trouble again.

I don't know if it was shown on TV, but when we conceded and Colwill was complaining about being fouled, Palmer walked up to him with his arms out as if to say come on, that's on you.

Every once in a while, we learn of something that knocks us for six. That occurred this morning whilst reading yesterday match report in The Mail on Sunday. The reporter is Kieran Gill.

” Since December 4th, Palmer has created 32 chances in the Premier League, more than any other player in any of Europes Elite Divisions. However none of those have been have been converted by his team mates, leaving him with zero assists. It is an extraordinary statistic, and one which emphasises their wastefulness in front of goal”
