May 22May 22 My first reaction was 'for f**k's sake, I hate that they've sold these dimwit footballers on their asinine managementsprach', then I realised it was probably even more vacuous than that:

I couldn't be happier that Palmer is getting a rest. How do you know Miguel Delaney of The Guardian are not bullsh*tting us with their comments?
May 22May 22 He has not been good enough to go.Whether it is his injuries or his attitude he has been really poor this season.

May 23May 23 Only himself to blame, whereas the Joao Pedro one, is more a case of politics, and the fall out being whether Chelsea right for him. This one certainly isn’t the clubs fault, he’s just been way off it for so long, as we know. Funny because Nike and all these brands went ALL in on him, even the ads for the England kit, he’s the main star, massive fumble there, and you wonder what the long term effects this will do to his brand.

May 23May 23 Keep seeing talk of him not having any rest over the last 2 seasons, but he had 2 months away from football between Sept-Nov.

That said, some grumpiness crept in at the beginning: before the gig started they showed a two-minute animated clip of some farmyard animals asking the audience not to film the band with their phones. Was quite funny to see an audience of average age 65 be lectured like schoolchildren.

May 23May 23 He didn't deserve to go because he's been playing shyte for a long time... 50% of that is down to him and 50% is down to the "team" not turning up this season.Same for JP.Glad James isn't injured this time - deserves to go.
May 23May 23 I think people miss the point when they talk about who "deserves" to go. Pick the players who are 'kind' and 'hard working' if you want. But you win games at tournaments playing players who have the most natural ability. Cole Palmer has vastly more ability and skill than many of the players picked by Tuchel.

This isn't me flip flopping and saying he needs to go either, but you need that big game moment player with a bit of extra something special to win these tournaments. There are a lot of very good players in that team, Kane is a world class striker, but there isn't a player in that team capable of just stepping up, making the game their own and just winning it the same way Palmer won the CWC for us. Palmer is the only player in England capable of it, but he's in awful form.

I’m intrigued to see how we play this summer.Look at the Beckham days. The starting 11 was absolutely stacked with world class players but we never gotten far. It’s not all about the names.
May 24May 24 As a Scot I’m not going to comment too much on the England squad but England managers in the past have picked the best players in each position with maybe 1 wildcard in each squad.Italy in particular and Germany have traditionally went more on how players fit into a system. That hasn’t worked out too badly for them historically and this squad was always going to be picked this way by Tuchel.Granted, I wouldn’t have went as mental but he just might get it right. At least you don’t have f**king Lyndon Dykes up front!

May 24May 24 Tuchel will get Eng knocked out in round 1.. international football is slow and boring - teams sit back and wait for mistakes - in games like this you need players who can create something out of nothing.. not to follow a system- this is mental.

May 24May 24 Incredible seeing some our fans wanted Cole sold, absolutely insane. Even worse seeing the more emotionally unstable ones ttat would rather sell him and keep Enzo. Probably the same loons that wanted us to sell Reece James.
