September 19, 20232 yr Lads, it's fine. I've got a ticket and I've never seen us lose at the bridge (except that time against Blackburn, but that didn't count because I say so)

He also thinks we will finish 3rd this season and Arsenal won't make top 4. He placed bets on it. Told him he is throwing away his money lol. Mind you never stopped @Modueke...

I am pretty sure Paul Elliott was playing for Villa that day too. Elliot did play for Villa and scored for them. We won 4-1 with Spackman and Pates scoring one each and Dixon scoring two. The same score on Sunday would be good.

Our situation is one of the worst you can be in. Not being able to score goals is absolutely criminal and we've suffered from this for a while season now let alone our long term striker issue.

Anyone who missed the last game sick should be back. Assuming nobody new is out or recovered I would just like Palmer to come in for Conor, Enzo to drop deeper and Palmer move to the 10. Would much rather Mudryk than Chilwell at left wing.
September 21, 20232 yr To some Chelsea fans and probably the management of Chelsea, Sterling should be a nailed starter. But at City Sterling cannot start. You can see the mentality of these Chelsea fans and the management. So many of these people don't know how to have success in football. Do many of the fans even want Chelsea to have success?
September 21, 20232 yr Give Mudryk a full 90. Play Enzo deeper. Drop Jackson. Chilwell as a LB, Colwill as a LCB and give Silva a rest.

Chilwell should be playing left side of defense. His natural position.

I think the replay at the Bridge was the first game where Durie really emerged as a talent.
September 21, 20232 yr Sanchez Gusto Disasi Colwill Chilwell Lesley Enzo Sterling Palmer Mudryk Jackson

That is apparently why Colwill is playing LB even against Forest and Bournemouth so qe just have to get used to it.

So I assume we can expect Reece and Chilwell as our 2 wingers when both are fit?

September 21, 20232 yr Villa rested several players for their trip to Poland tonight. Badiashile has suffered a relapse in his recovery, not back for this one. Caicedo still not returned to training.
September 21, 20232 yr Villa lost to Warsaw. Warsaw played well and took their chances. Two of their goals came from Digne losing his winger. I expect this to provide opportunities for Sterling. Much of villas attack came through Leon Bailey. I see no reason not to play Chilwell at left back, drop Silva and let colwill start the attacks. Disasi is not much of a pass master.

Hopefully minor with Badiashile, but what on earth is going on with Caicedo.
September 22, 20232 yr Ah Friday, almost another weekend is upon us for the Chels to ruin! 😆 Not sure what the injury situation is regarding a few but id go with; Sanchez Gusto - Disasi - Colwill - Chilwell Enzo - Caicedo Sterling - Palmer - Mudryk Jackson I think Silva slows us down too much playing out at the moment, and moving Villa before they get set is going to be vital. Caicedo probably not fit, throw Ugo in if he's not. Palmer and Jackson goals, Mudryk masterclass. 3-2 villa.
September 22, 20232 yr Just the 9 players out this weekend. Down from 12 at Bournemouth. https://www.chelseafc.com/en/news/article/chelsea-injury-update-aston-villa
September 22, 20232 yr Villa's form: L, W, W, L, W ... Chelsea's form: D, L, W, L, D ... I'm am praying to the gods that we find some form!
September 22, 20232 yr Author Expect to see Broja on Sunday some time. Could be a big turning point in our season.
September 22, 20232 yr Villa's backline still suspect but no doubt we'll turn them into the Milan of old Sunday.
