After so much misery and ennui, what a delight to have two games in a week which were so much fun.

Can’t decide, Sterling and Palmer in particular were class, but overall a great match by the whole squad!

Sterling. His decision making at times was annoying me, mainly in those first 20 minutes, but after that he played like I have rarely seen him play before.

Sterling, Connor close second though.

Between three of the English lads today, Sterling, Palmer and Gallagher but went for Gallagher as he gave a great captain like performance and was not going to be on the losing side.

What @Nibs wrote. Gallagher for me too.

Toss up between Gallagher and Sterling. Conor gets the nod from me today though !

Well I might be the only vote for cucu but he was my man of the match for outstanding effort.

Palmer. For me he is a cut above our other creative players. Drives the game forward, looks for that dangerous pass that puts defenders on the back foot and does all that whilst looking like an extra from The Hills Have Eyes. 

Absolute bargain  we got there.

Can make an argument for 3 or 4 players, but for me it was Gallagher. Led the press with Jackson in the first half, later took the armband, dropped into the sitting 2 with Caicedo, and later screened the backline more or less on his own when we were chasing the game. Performed each role superbly.

Plus the way he put Rodri in his place was just sensational to watch.

Gallagher had a lot of impact in our goals and overall ball possession so it has to be him. For Jackson's goal he's the one that came deep and put a long ball to Mudryk first only to take the shoot later on too.

Went for Palmer although Gallagher and Sterling were also very good as well. Good team performance, just got to deal with defensive crosses better.
