January 30Jan 30 Not good enough for us but no worse than what we've spent £160M on. The weirdest part of BlueCo's tenure imo.

Sign Garnacho if you absolutely have to, but not Gittens as well. I am 99% sure if we'd given George a vast majority of the minutes those 2 have had, he'd have produced more. Especially than Gittens has.I’m sorry but he just isn’t that good as a winger. One of the very few things Maresca got half right was putting him striker(ofc he still got in wrong in the end as he didn’t adapt system to having a small striker) as he needs to be in and around the box at all times to make use of his only redeeming quality which is his shooting. Maybe if you give him a Salah like role he could blossom too. The real issue is us making two signings that don’t really elevate us rather than us not using/trying to sell George.

January 30Jan 30 He's not great, no. No really good enough. But he could have progressed if given the chances that Gittens and Garnacho have had, and saved us a lot of money.
January 30Jan 30 I honestly can't see how anyone can make a definitive assessment of the lad considering how few Premier League games he has started for us. ? He's still a teenager isn't he . I don't suppose he'll be given a run in the team anyway, we'll be looking for a pure profit for him after spending a ridiculous amount on Gittens.
January 31Jan 31 As many have said, not a great player but neither are Gittens or Garnacho. So here we are, selling our academy lads to cover the prices of other academies’ players who are not better.
January 31Jan 31 Deserves a shot somewhere for sure. He's got twice as many career goals as Oscar Bobb despite being two and half years younger.
January 31Jan 31 Everton are interested in a loan deal as a cover for the injured Grealish. Ideally would have preferred a loan with a Top 3 Championship team where he can rack up loads of mins

February 9Feb 9 Had a decent 21 mins cameo V Fulham and had a hand in one of their goals. Based on the highlights, I am certain he would have done more that Garnacho & Gittens given the same mins. Majority of Everton fans are impressed, and wonder if there are any other players to be taken off us.

Another sh*t decision by the scum who own and run us.
June 30Jun 30 “Everton turned down the original £25m buy option after George's quiet loan spell with 11 appearances and 350 minutes but no goals or assists. Fresh negotiations offer a lower upfront fee plus add-ons that could reach Chelsea's asking price, with a deal possibly done by week's end to boost David Moyes' rebuild.”Common sense is to sell for £15-£17.5m, add a buyback at £40m, and a sell on clause at 20%. Would do the same for Essugo, Sarr, and unfortunately Acheampong. That is what Madrid & Barca do with their youngsters. If they are not going to get regular game, which is harder without European football, pointless wasting everyone’s time. Loan moves hardly work anymore since the loaner team isn’t invested long term. Josh came through as a wonderkid at 18, he is 20 yrs now, and has been messed about for the last 2 seasons.

I wonder what George's value would have been if he'd played for us. No idea where George goes from here, but despite the absolute dross and failures ahead of him, it isnt going to be with us. We spent 100 million on gittens and gar nacho... 100 million pounds...
July 5Jul 5 24M of ‘pUrE pRoFiT’ for a player who never once looked at the required level is very good business.

July 5Jul 5 What I am genuinely interested in is knowing if there is any example anywhere where this mob have displayed any form of business acumen in this market and have actually negotiated a sale that has physically made them a profit and has shown that they have been able to conduct themselves in this market like all of the other market participants. Selling home grown pure profit kids for less than you are quoting doesn't count cos they're just cashing on Neil Bath and the team before screwing all that up as well.Where have these charlatans demonstrated any measure of business knowledge and ability in the four years that they have been trading in this market? They'll sell George, they'll sell Trev, a couple of academy kids have gone already. If we're stockpiling all this potential talent and if they have been at it for four years then a number of these players must be real hot property and they should now be generating a massive windfall for us. Like fck.

Reckon that move is dead once they heard his wage demands. As for Lacroix, I am not convinced. An average defender will look decent playing in a back 3, and no way is he a £50m player.

City opted for Andersen, Sp*rs have got Tonali & Fernandes, Utd seem keener on Baleba. It’s us or the victims if he moves this summer.
