I'm more curious to know about any contract clauses that greatly diminish or rule out a severance pay-out  if we don't get into Europe next season, not an unlikely scenario....

I'm honestly so terrified of who we might hire to replace him that I'm currently leaning more towards keeping him. Don't trust the people who brought him and Potter in to find the right person for the job.

There's no way we are getting European football. But lets say we do, no we don't.

The problems are still resurfacing, I'm all for giving the manager time but he's not helped the situation at all, I just don't think he's that guy unfortunately.

i dont know how he would mange with the new format to be honest im really stuck on how i feel about him

Personally I think we're favourites for 6th.

Yeah this team doesn't do well when labeled favorites.

Given that City are basically guaranteed to win the FA Cup, Poch should rightly be tasked to finish 6th. We then qualify for Europa.

Tell me that after we draw/lose to West Ham.

I'm not confident we beat the teams we are supposed to beat, we always lose our composure in those moments and give the other team confidence.

I'm not confident we win all 4. But I'm confident united and Newcastle won't.

with the amount of academy players involved i dont think they will as they want to impress and best way doing that is helping us get to 6th

It doesn't work like that though.

We've had young players all season, if that were the case everyone would be playing academy players. The truth is they are inexperienced and inconsistent with their performances. As you would expect.

A big reason why our performances this season are so bipolar. We score a goal and instantly drop our performance, because we are a very immature team.

I don't think we get 6th but if we do I don't think the owners sack him as his cheaper to sack clause won't be activated.

They can claim getting Europa as a sign of progress and we can have another video from Winstanley and Stewart beating their chests about how right they were.

thats true but that wont change thats the players issue chalobah mentioned how poch has been talking about consistency theres no one in our squad who can do that except silva whos leaving if poch stays he must bring in some experienced players who can bring that consistency and voice in our team its impossible for players like james , conor or enzo to do that without someone who can help guide them to that

I still think he needs to be replaced even if we sneak into Europe given this was the bare minimum requirement of being our manager. It's easy to get distracted by a result like last night's but we have been very poor and have underperformed for most of the season, just last week we got battered by Arsenal in one of the worst performances I've seen from us in the past 25 years.

I think Poch has served a purpose of helping the players bed into the league, but now I think we need a manager that's going to take us to the level we need to be and I just don't see this manager doing that.

Thinks are improving results wise.  Still some strange decisions and the inconsistency, injuries, mistakes etc is exhausting.  But, from Jan 1 (larger sample now) we are 7th, so headed in the right direction.  Interestingly, from Mar 1 we are 5th, and Apr 1 (low sample 6 games) we are 4th.  Something there.

If anything, we shouldn't stop looking for a top coach that takes us to the next level and gets this group of players playing like a team from the beginning of the season. Last night was great, but we've looked like a pub team for most of the season, especially at defensive level, and that is down to Pochettino. If there's no top coach available, yes, let him start the next season, but I'm afraid that if we keep him the board will stop looking for a better manager. Another thing is whether the board and sporting directors are good at identifying a good coach is another matter.

Having so many (long) injuries from so many different players in only one season doesn't help at all.

I personally think we should keep him next season as the players seem to play for him and with the ongoing injury crisis it is debatable whether anyone else could do better.

People keep saying when we get James and Nkunku back ........ Their careers at top level might just be over due to bad injuries unfortunately we just don't know.

Cannot deny things are looking better, still up and down of course... and very disappointing result against the Arse but they do have a bloody good side with some very classy and experienced players... including the couple we sold them... they buy well.
