I will take a guess now that Paez leads to Nkunku leaving and Estevao leads to Palmer leaving.

May not happen next summer but I expect we end up with:

Estevao/Felix

Paez/Mec

Neto/Mudryk

Palmer just signed an extension going into 2032 can you please stop with this nonsense

Just an opinion Sconnie, may well be they shift others like has been suggested, may well be Cole stays until 2032 or could be he asks to leave if we don't make CL football for next season. I don't know, just a feeling.

If you don't like what I post feel free to block me, is simple to do. Cause I am not going to censor my opinion just because it is viewed as nonsense.

Hell of a game last night; played 61 mins, scored 2 goals & had 2 assists. He now has 7 goals & 7 assists in 20 games.

I thought I missed the internationals...phew. Really want to watch this kid. 2 goals and 2 assists ain't bad at all...who was he playing against mate?

Will try and find a link to the full game or highlights.

Do South American games get shown on TV here or is it just streams bud?

Cheers in advance mate.

One reason why this is unlikely is we do need English players in our squad

I do have one (a firestick and I have an android box too) but current app is rubbish. I need to find a decent app and subscription.

Why would the club sell our best player in Palmer. If anything Mudryk & Madueke are more likely to go.

I know what you mean, though is not the nationality that matters is the club trained status. What is the current rule, 4 club trained at your club and another 4 at other clubs in the same country?

Mudryk is going to prove difficult to move on I think... not sure why anyone would buy him.

If Estevao and Paez are as good as we certainly hope they are there may well not be a spot for Palmer in the team. Paez is the question mark here for me, it has been reported we only managed to secure Estevao buy promising him immediate first team minutes.

Palmer is going nowhere, regardless of who comes in.

  • 3 weeks later...

Chelsea see him as a no10 as opposed to a winger says his agent.

Branco and Neymar rate him very highly with Branco saying he’s the best kid to come through since Neymar. Of course we’ve heard this about other young Brazilians but this lad seems the real deal.

We might as well go in for Endrick from Madrid next season. I think he’ll want to play and I don’t see him getting too many minutes at Real this season. He nearly chose us before Madrid so not as crazy as it sounds.

Having said all that he’s probably got a 1 billion release clause. 😀

Genuinely excited about Paez and Estevao though.

Maybe, but I don't see it. He's utterly perfect for that isolated/touchline winger role Maresca wants.

This would be our midfield/attack squad next season (assuming Mudryk, Carney, and KDH leave)

 Neto/Sancho   Nkunku/Felix       Palmer/Paez   Madueke/Estevao

Enzo/Caicedo/Lavia/Santos

Just checked the stats and Estevao is the leading the Brazilian league with 9 goals and 7 assists. Second most goals and most assists.

At 17 that is pretty good.

The league isn't anywhere near Premier League, just by looking at the highlights but he looks a player.

Needs to bulk up a bit but I think that would come naturally anyway.

Next season is probably early for him to be at Chelsea but the season after that.

You don’t loan out talent like this and quite frankly I wouldn’t trust us to secure him the right loan in the first place. Absolutely needs to stay in and around the team.

Well said.. Under no circumstances do you loan either him or Paez out. You just have to move a couple of players on the fringes away to make space for them.

Has to stay with the team and get minutes in the cup and at the end of games we're comfortable in.

More goals and assists than Neymar at the same age in Brazil. This is generational potential.

I feel it would be perfect for him to flourish in Ligue 1 at Strasbourg. I think at his age it would be best if he just played football.

He will. Right now he'd probably challenge Madueke for RW.

Paez would probably be rotation for Palmer.

At Chelsea he is always in heavy rotation. At Strasbourg he is allowed to have bad games and still start. Young lads will have bad games. Inconsistency is the biggest trait of a young player/man.

You don’t pay that much for a player and loan him immediately. Top clubs don’t loan out quality youngsters anymore, they develop them in-house. Doesn’t matter anyway both Estevao & Paez were told at signing that they are joining the first team next summer. It’s a case of selling a couple and creating space for them.

I just doubt Noni will be here next year.

We need to make room for him, I see Noni making way.

Paez I think it's so unknown. I think he might benefit from a season on loan to Strasbourg.

In the hypothetical we do qualify for the Champions League next season, we are going to need even more options than we do now. September to January we'd be playing 3 games a week. Even longer if we make it far in domestic cups.

I'm sure it was reported we told Santos the same when we signed him. paid about the same for him as we did Paez, i certainly wouldn't be surprised to see him loaned out when he joins up.

I made the same argument about Mudryk a couple of months in, and was told by many you don’t spend this type of money and loan him. His Chelsea career may just have been very different if he had secured a loan. Estevao and Paez both have to adapt to a completely different country and culture not to mention a much harder league. It’s impossible at this stage to guess how each will adapt, both are still extremely young, yes they are full internationals for their relative countries, reality is though international and club football might as well be a different game. As a footnote Vitor Roque was similarly lauded before he arrived at Barcelona, this season the decision has been taken to loan him to Betis, never say never.
