"If you want to play football, you need to take risks, you need to go forward, you need to win duels, sometime 50-50. That is my goal."

Love this, Maresca take note.

Ipswich and Everton probably sway that a lot in our favour and both have already took points from us this season too.

Wouldn’t worry about this table - it will be dybamic and change everyday.

There was a lot to like about the way we were playing earlier in the season. Certainly from an attacking sense.

But now that Maresca has us playing the way he wants we just look insipid. Maybe we’re only a couple of signings away from his system clicking but I’m really struggling to see how that looks.

Had the club signed Osimhen for instance, would we be any better? We’d still have the slow build up play and the obsession with playing out from the back.

I’d argue our squad struggle to play his formation because far too many of them can’t play anything close to their natural games. In fact only Cucu is tailor made to play in our system imo although inverting from left back to a second 10 is stretching it.

I have watched a bit of Strasbourg here and there. They have decided to prioritize defence. At least they are good at it. Not much of pacy up and down football like pur fanbase is demanding from our team.

But it has resulted in good results for them. Not sure if Strasbourg and Chelsea have a strategy between the two clubs in terms of playing style. Could be a bit tricky to organize as the two leagues are vastly different.

Anyway it is still interesting.

He is probably one of the worst manager for this team.

Not really. He's a winner. England haven't won anything since 1966. Tuchel managed to win CFC our second CL, with what on paper, was a side which shouldn't have got anywhere near winning it.

England have a better chance of ending their trophy drought with Tuchel than most other candidates out there.

Agree, for international football TT is very good.

But I wasn’t talking about England. I was talking about Chelsea.

Sack this fraud off.

Bring in Rosenior from Strasbourg, integrate Petrovic & Santos.

Immediately become a better side without spending a penny.

Football is simple at times.

The board will read this as:

Sack Maresca.

Bring in a League one manager.

Sell Petrovic and Santos to fund a 200 million summer spending spree on teenagers no on had heard of before.

Immediately become a worse side after spending a fortune.

It's so crazy it might actually work!

I watched him coach Leicester for a full season & the football got worse as the season progressed. I don't know if he could have kept us up but at the time I was happy to see him leave.

How to you think he compared to Brendan Rogers? Who is the better manager in your opinion?

There’s no need to even ask a Leicester fan to know the answer.

Rogers by a mile.

Enough said. And sadly, I agree. Rogers > Maresca "Pepilini"

We’d be watching much better football that’s for sure. He’d have us 7 points better off I reckon.

And Rodgers isn’t even an elite level manager himself.
