Tuchel was kicked out probably just because he'd demanded experienced players to win here and now. The club decided to go this path and Tommy was kicked out.

You can't demand this young group to win things yet. It is just not possible. You need to give them time and opportunities to make mistakes and learn.

I am not demanding we win now.

What I do demand is signs of life, signs of progression and signs that we have a coherent identity forming that gets the best out of the expensive talent we have assembled.

Maresca has had zero positive impact on this. We are so boring. We are so slow. We are still so sideways and backwards. We are so risk averse. We are so predictable. We are so easy to play against. This is all on him.

If he had us moving the ball quickly, pressing as a tight unit, moving opposing defenders around and creating chances - but we still lost - then fine. I could deal with it, because we would be seeing a long term identity forming.....but we are not. We are absolutely dire.

I’m a 90’s kid so have been somewhat spoiled, in that for as long as I’ve been alive Chels have been huge, so what I say can be taken with a pinch of salt, however, I can’t remember a single team being this boring to watch, regardless of results.

We’ve always had superstars to carry us through depressing managers (Big Phil, AVB, FSW) but now the only player that could fall into that category (Palmer) is being strangled by the system that this tactically inept fraud is implementing, he even managed to shine under Southgate ffs.

I’ve genuinely not bothered with some games this season because a) the result/outcome is predictable and b) it’s not entertaining to watch. I’ve not done that any other season.

We aren’t qualifying for the CL. Nor even the EL, via the League anyway. I’m starting to think winning the Conference League will end up being more a curse than a blessing as it’ll give Enzo & the SD’s something to point to and ‘build from’

His tactics, His interviews, His general attitude toward this club. For me he has to go this summer if not earlier.

Way we are playing right now we don't beat Real Betis or Fiorentina imo.

It's an absolute miracle that we're 4th

Given they have played Saints already I doubt Ipswich win another home match.

Imagine If they did the double over us...

Also just a matter of time before we drop out, and stay out of, the top 5.

Imo we finish below Newcastle and Villa. We cannot score goals.

Can't disagree, Villa and Newcastle are in good form and we're hanging on by a thread, we should have had CL wrapped up already but Maresca has completely cocked it up

Who is defending that decision? I only heard people commenting that he had lined up a Conference League starting eleven.

Countless Maresca-stans on X. An absolute cesspit for chronically online teenagers that don't care about success and only care about having a fashionable manager that can achieve 500 passes a game and more xG rather than actual goals.

an expensive side step.

I miss Bruno... I thought he did set us up very well against Liverpool and was happy to let him have the rest of the season.

I think the back end of that season was only ever going one way regardless of who was in charge. I don't think Bruno would have done any better or worse than Lamps.

That said, the decisions the following two years by the SD's have been strange to say the least.

I'll keep it short: I don't agree.

Comments like this make me feel this place is full of elderly statesmen who can't have anything else than what they had while younger.

And to think some of you laughed at me when I said some still find Enzos style of football massively entertaining.

What say you now @Nibs @RMH

Don't tell me you didn't find our football massively entertaining when it was actually massively entertaining? I know I did .

You youngsters don't know how lucky you are.

In my day we used to get up half hour before we went to bed just to get to Chelsea and queue up for several days just to buy a ticket.

You mean the bleed off from Poches end of run to before Big Enz full implementation of his style?

Was better than this but still not that fun. Personally I appreciate defenders defending and knowing how to, rather than looking like they were coached by Coperal Jones.

😂 Thanks for that , the image of Corporal Jones coaching our back 4 ! 😂

I get some of the complaints... but where would we be if we had prime Hazard on this team? We'd be really entertaining and we'd be competing for at least 2nd IMHO. Sure Maresca hasn't been perfect, but we have one player that can create goals on his own (and he's in a slump). Despite all of that we're tied for third in goal differential.

Most fans wouldn't disagree we could use a striker upgrade, a left wing upgrade, a goal keeper upgrade and one center back, yet we're third in GD, he can't be that terrible.

Anyone saying Potter level? we were -9 GD that season, with a much more experienced attacking unit

And that's all lovely but glosses over the small detail that we are 14th since Maresca got the team playing how he wants ... and we are absolutely as goal shy as Graham "my teams average one goal a game" Potter ... 😀

Palmer is our Hazard - so saying "if we had prime Hazard ..." doesn't really wash either.
