September 27, 2025Sep 27 Author Him not trusting the players only goes so far if you actually get results with the players you do trust.

September 27, 2025Sep 27 In fairness we were playing pretty well until the redHe hasn't done an amazing job but I don't think the Amorim comparison is fair, that guy has 32 points from 35 league matches, that's a genuine relegation season.

But as above, I'm not sure who you go after. Does the new coach get that much more out of this group of players? The recruitment has been a big issue too. Not good enough CB reinforcements, no GK, and two inexperienced strikers/forwards, along with Garnacho and Gittens who are yet to prove their worth. If the new coach gets the same players given to him, are we expecting that much different to what we get now? A bit more positive football is great and all, but results matter. I would want a manager who has won significant trophies and has experience, but those aren't so easy to come by.Yes. A better manager would get more out of this squad. Name one player Maresca has improved in his time here. A better manager would be more tactically flexible. A better manager wouldn't persist with instructions that continually cause us repeat problems. For example, playing short tight passes around our box under pressure. A better manager would not talk the team down in a period when they were actually doing OK.A better manager might not solve all the problems at our club. But he would make some positive improvements on the pitch.
September 27, 2025Sep 27 Reached my limit with Maresca. To repeat the same mistakes in selection, in game management, subs, player rotation, and comments - just wasting our time. No progress, plays people out of position, the most awful style of football, and no development.I also think the board and players have to take accountability, but Maresca has taken the players as far as he can. His brand of football is not for me.

Not just us, but loads of teams are going for inexperienced managers, and inexperienced players. We are seeing alot of players in the 25-30 bracket move to Saudi. The landscape is so different now. But there is still managers with much bigger cvs available that we just dont go for. Potter, Pochettino and Maresca had 1 top title between them and that poch in France with PSG. We arent building a team to win. If we were, we would be signing top players between the age of 22-27, like pretty much every single successful team has been built with.
September 27, 2025Sep 27 Have said it before, and will say it again. For me it is not the results or another loss.It is the consistent lack of any learning or evolution from Maresca. The same slow, uninventive, sideways, risk averse football - week in week out. It is the slow style that means when we make mistakes, we get punished more often than not. It is the unprogressive and boring football, that seems to put the team in a trance and sends then to sleep to the extent that they switch off every game. We have a good young squad, filled with exciting players. All I want in a manager is a leader who will let them go out, play fast, expressive football and learn the game. Develop a winning instinct. Make mistakes, but learn from them. But these guys play in fear - and its because of the manager.Sack him.

September 27, 2025Sep 27 I can't anymore... Just get him out. This guy doesn't even watch the games, he just does what he wants. Reece didn't have any problems against Minteh the whole game, everything started to crumble when he put Gusto there...
September 27, 2025Sep 27 He’s so bad! Every one knows i don’t rate much our team, but we would be playing much better with s better coach. However, this is not only on the coach, our board’s plan to earn money doesn’t let them spend on a proper coach. So, whoever comes next, its going to be sh*t as well, as that’s what they want. If the board could, they’d hire 5 or 6 inexpensive coaches and see if one made it as the do with players.
September 27, 2025Sep 27 I’ve only seen the result & nothing else, could someone sum up briefing how he f**ked it all up this week please?
September 27, 2025Sep 27 Won’t be back or putting another penny into the club until this charlatan is gone.

Then we scored, reverted back to slow tedious passing around the defence, invited Brighton into the game. Stupid pass back but then thats how we play, red card. Maresca sh*t himself again, we end up with 1 attacking player on the pitch. Inevitable goals against, yet we carry on passing for the sake if passing with zero attacking impetus, right up until the last few minutes when we again lose the ball f**king about.

September 27, 2025Sep 27 Fully expect us to beat Liverpool, and revert back to sh*te for several months.
September 27, 2025Sep 27 Maresca out…. Who tf do we replace him with?!?Also recruitment needs to be looked at and questionedWhy do we have 100M of LW on the benchNo quality CBSNo aerial duels at all…looks like all teams know how to play vs us the funny this is we play the same patterns and now they even know who to press and when to press we are fully cooked Benfica and Liverpool next 2 losses

September 27, 2025Sep 27 This pattern has been repeated now, and likely will be again. Potter did not get long enough to be the first, but both Poch and now Maresca start off following the company line, happy with the squad training who they are given. Then they get fed up of being given average, poor or very poor level players and want the holes in the teams quad fixed to make us more competitive. When that does not happen they lose their heads, talk out against the ownership on the press and then the cycle repeats.Maresca is a dead man walking. Relationship has soured and he can come out of this and point to the two trophies, the lack of club support, and find a new job. We will just start this cycle again. when the owners decide it is time to change.Probably will be the Strasbourg manager, he seems ok, for now, with blue Co.
September 27, 2025Sep 27 the BIG question is who? Who do we get to replace him? And WHEN - Do we wait until next summer? As meddlesome as our Sporting Director's are let us not pretend that "owners" have not always been irksome. Also, anyone read King Carlo's latest book? His relationship with Roman and how Roman micro managed him and his team? Quite a read.
