December 10, 2025Dec 10 It's soul destroying seeing this squad being so badly handled and with the knowledge that nothing will change. The squad is definitely not as good as many have convinced themselves. We have some very ordinary 'making up the numbers' defenders and some horrendously injury prone players that hinder us by being good enough to play when fit, but almost never being fit.But no matter how good or not you believe the players to be, this toss pot manager will consistently get less out of them than whatever they are capable of.It's so sad when you find yourself hoping that you'll lose games in the faint hope that they might try something different. But they won't.
December 10, 2025Dec 10 Like I said before, the most soul destroying part about this situtation is that we'll have to go through a string of 10 losses for the Board to actually sack this f**ker. We're going nowhere with this guy, he can't take us any further. Awful situation to be in.

But the football he has Bournemouth playing, despite the fact they're a club always selling their best players, is so much better than Maresca-ball and he would be a massive upgrade on Maresca. That said my choice would be Glasner. If it were back in the days of Roman, I would imagine we would be announcing Glasner as our new head coach sometime soon, alas, under these f**kwits, I think you're right - the bald one will still be here next season.Nah I'm not having it. Bournemouth have a licence to play good football because how often do they come up against a team just sitting back. He's managing a club that is incredibly well run, he has great players, I am not going for a manager who doesn't have experience at the top again.

Out of faint hope, I still keep checking, but with the mob, the "Club Statement", is likely to be that they've extended his contract!

He had us playing much better football and I think would have been interesting to see what he would have done with this team. Then again he spoke up against some decisions from the SD's so he was never going to last.

While an ignorant comment to make, I truly believe the players would do better if they picked their own team and went about playing football. Never has a group made it look so awkward and unnatural. He doesn't know his best side and has one tactical setup. We are regressing - I'd like to see a change ahead of a new season so a new manager gets a full preseason.Didn't this actually happen at Leicester where they went on a bad run and in the lead up to their crunch game with Southampton the senior players (Vardy ,Albrighton) called a players only meeting to try and arrest the situation. When asked for the specifics of what was discussed, Marc continued: “We felt sometimes over the course of, especially the second half of the season, the lads seemed to not want to take certain risks [in possession].Quote from Albrighton below just seems so familiar to what we are or have been witnessing during Maresca's tenure.“We've got some incredible players in the squad. We've got some real talent, especially the wingers. Their strength is running at players, getting past them, and getting balls into the box. “So we told them to go and do that. Don't turn out, make sure you express that freedom – I think maybe they lost a little bit of confidence during the season, with the defeats and stuff, but they've been absolutely brilliant for us, so it was just getting back to that.”

Similar to how Maresca started last season off the back of a team that finished strongly under Poch. As Potter made his mark on the team we slipped into freefall to the point where even an interim was unable to get many points. Also under Potter we still had a lot of experienced players from the Tuchel era (Kova, Dave, Chilwell etc.). Something the current squad is lacking.
