Our American Private Equity owner's are not interested in watching entertaining football, they are watching the value of the club increasing, regardless of no real success ( as Boehly has already said, we are worth more now than what they paid for us) .

Arsenal have qualified already because they played their strongest team in their first 5 games ( although they have had an easy fixture list only two hard fixtures from 6 and both were at home)

The women’s team just beat an Italian side 6-0 in the CL because, whilst they haven’t been great as of late, the manager isn’t a stupid useless c**t over there.

Our fixtures have not been hard.only 2 good teams

One would think that BlueCo's renowned "data analysts" would have worked out that Atalanta had scored all of their goals in the second-half of their CL encounters. Although, it is also equally likely they did and Maresca didn't care

We got 60+ pts in the last two season and on course for similar number this season. So I say we are pretty consistent.

You simply can't look at it this way. We can mock every single player in Chelsea shirt or our opp but all of them are elite athlete. If you don't play close to 100%, your opp can make you look silly.

I remember reading interview about nba player who was criticized for being able to play golf but cannot play in games. He said he can suit up tomorrow for pick up game but if he need to chase NBA player, he will pull something after 2 min.

I get the sentiment but in reality the physical demands of PL football are a different universe to even top-level amateurs.

Players train 3hrs/a day because the intensity is so high their body is at risk of literally eating itself to recover.

What's the point of Sports Science? All the fancy modern recovery consumables, bodywear and machines, yet these players still pick up injury after injury and require load management. Well all besides Enzo F.

I said last season when we played city early season that Savio is not city's level winger. I said this while he was cooking Cucu for fun. However, you can tell his movement and decision making were simply too raw. We all knew what happen to city last season. They were having a very terrible season until they spent 100m in Jan.

If you do this for few season, it is fine, you have "bad" season but then the young player develop and then you are ready to go. But what happen if you keep signing many young player every season? You are basically back to square one.

You can't afford to miss out on younger players, that much is a given. The problem isn't signing young players, the problem is you need leaders who can push the team during the game on the pitch as well.

You can't use last season's City as the example because Pep lost Rodri who was the key man in his system. It doesn't matter how good Savio was when their team also had players on the tail end of their careers (Gundogan, KdB, Ederson) who were clearly not good enough for another title run.

Our problem right now is we don't have a leader-type player who is willing to challenge managers on their decisions and that can take the game by the scruff of the neck and win games. Best we have is Palmer and he's on a long road to get back to his best again

These and @Bob stark 's comments are spot on. My issue was more the fact that he was decrying that they had to play matches every two days, which is factually incorrect as no professional club in European football play matches every 48 hours. Just more waffle from him.

Yep and it's not like he doesn't have the option to rotate sensibly.

It's like he experiments against weaker teams then only puts a proper thinking cap on for the best teams.

Someone needs to tell Maresca that Palace are playing a game every 2.7 days AND they have a smaller and weaker squad then ours, so suck it up and get on with it and stop looking for excuses to hide your crap coaching skills
