This annoys me even more than it does already...if they just stop faffing about and develop Jackson and guiu they will have 2 great strikers on their hands. But fk that let's buy 2 or 3 more strikers and have 5 undeveloped ones on the books to sell for a small profit each afterwards.

Buying Osimhen at that price takes the piss, buying omorodion for any price may show there's no cohesion between both SD's.

I can't make head nor tail of these diagrams. Apart from them resembling my dog's arse with a blocked anal gland.

Omorodion and Osimhen diagrams smell just as bad too when compared to Jackson.

Clearlake are obsessed with buying and selling/ trading players its what they do.

The two sporting directors exist to source players, if the data is right they will find a deal, if the deal looks ok Clearlake buy.

Whether we need the players is irrelevant.

At some point there will be some accountability for lack of profit and or excess number of players.

Hey ho roll on Braga or Servette.

To get back on topic

A sane man knows that we dont need Samuel O.

The Jackson vs omorodion one is very telling...

Tells that they are two significantly different profiles of strikers, which I believe is the point.

His overall game looks bloody atrocious but he does look like that focal point/target man esq striker. Think I read he wins the same amount of aerial duels per game as Osimhen & Jackson combined.

If that highlights video is anything to go by, that doesn't mean much. He had about 50 tries and seemed to misjudge the flight of the ball half of the time.

Provides us a different outlet & plan B. That's the only positive thing I can say about this transfer at the moment. Far too many times last season we needed that focal point.

Whereabouts are you getting these comparisons charts?  Would be interested to see how Jackson matches up to Haaland or Watkins.  Maybe Jackson is statistically the greatest striker that’s ever lived.

Like I said though, he doesn't seem to judge the flight of the ball well, and even seems to lose out to weaker players often because he's relying on strength alone. Gotta be more clever than that to beat a defender in an aerial duel. So even if we wanted to go with a plan b and use him as a target man, it won't pay off because he won't win the duels.

Think you shouldn't base everything on a YouTube compilation.

He's 20 and still wins the same amount of aerial duels per 90 as Osimen & Jackson combined. In the Premier League, the only ST that has contested and won more aerial dules than him is Ivan Toney.

Hopefully big sam comes in and tears the league up. Stats/Eye test aside, would be nice to have a big strong striker come in and cause problems again if he's any good.

If this goes through, we should expect a very raw player and I'm not sure he will be ready to play for the first team for a year or 2. He'll probably go straight on loan like almost all of our signings. Still means we need a striker solution for current season.

Nico is our greatest hope.

Some Chelsea fan made some bot that pulls together all the data from FBref into graphics. Go on @Mclachbot on twitter and there should be a link to the webpage. You can also use it to generate team passmaps, individual pass maps, defensive action maps for individuals, shot maps etc from any game. See below examples from our game against city last year
