However I know how the fans will greet him if he doesn't get bang in the goals right away. It's the profile I imagine. Similar profile to Osimhen but who's wages and agent fee are probably just out of the question. An 18 year old and now a 20 year old as back up options to Jackson. Difficult to get excited about this season.

Watched him v Egypt at the Olympics recently and he is Lukaku-lite, not a player who has any business playing for a possession team. I can’t see what the sporting directors are seeing in some of this talent. The reported fee of €50m is ridiculous for a backup, and I would argue Guiu is a better player.

I'm so bored of this transfer policy. It's dogsh*t and has no hope of actually helping us make any progress.
August 5, 20241 yr So this is how, United fans felt like when they effectively gave us the Palmer funds...

No f**king chance of knowing whether he is worth the money. And he is young and not tested.

They need to rely on their eyes more instead of the data which is often very misleading. That last thing we want is yet another Lukaku, and Omorodion is very similar in many areas, especially the worst parts.
August 5, 20241 yr Chelsea keep discussing with Atlético Madrid about Samu Omorodion . . .we need to STOP discussing.
August 5, 20241 yr My prediction is we close a deal with atletico for combined fee plus add ons between 55mill and 60mill, probably euros. Osimhen and Chiesa are merely Clearlake name planting to help other deals, I don't believe we are after either.

August 5, 20241 yr Fabrizo: ”Atlético Madrid are set to accept Chelsea proposal for Samu Omorodion, worth around £35m package. Omorodion’s camp, discussing contract terms with Chelsea. ↪️🔴⚪️ Atléti will ONLY give green light to Samu-Chelsea when they get Julián Álvarez deal done with City/agent. 🇦🇷”

Thought they were quite clear they did not want to.
August 5, 20241 yr 35 top flight games. 8 goals. £35m. Literally £1m per game played. These sporting directors are trying to ruin the club. Nothing else makes sense why they keep paying so much money for players with so little experience and/or talent.

Maybe in 8 years they have made such a mess of it Clearlake has gone broke, has to sell for 1 penny to the pound, and we get a proper owner who cares about football results as well as the club making a profit.
August 5, 20241 yr Hate everything about this, are clubs not allowed to make money from other clubs anymore without returning the favour? Same with Aston Villa, it’s like “you sign one of ours and we’ll return the favour’ and so the money circulates. It’s madness.
August 5, 20241 yr Oh no I thought this one was dead. Sounds like Atletico have pulled an Amazon Prime deal. First asking an overpriced £60 million then reduced to £35m making it look like the deal of the century - and our chump owners fell for it. Too much for a Strasbourg signing so looks like we have our new striker. Edited August 5, 20241 yr by DarkMata

August 5, 20241 yr Is there anyone on the Chelsea board who challenges these signings? Is there anyone asking what this signing means for Datro, Washington and Guiu? No one's asking why we spent money on 4 up and coming strikers, only to be looking at another up and coming striker? What makes this up and coming striker special and different from the other ones? We're past the "we're becoming a selling club" phase. Selling clubs spot a talented player, develop him and flip him for a profit. We're hoarding players and leaving them to rot, while their value plummets. I have never seen anything like this before.

August 5, 20241 yr 34 minutes ago, axman2526 said: So Jackson main striker, Samuel his back up, Guiu as 3rd choice. Wait till you see how Samu actually play. Makes Datro Fofana look like prime Henry. Atletico Madrid signed him last summer for €6m & sent him out on loan to Deportivo Alaves. A year later we have valued him at €40m. He has business at a top PL club at present even as a backup.

We have clowns running this club. What a f**king joke.
