What is the point in the whole sell Gallagher for ‘pure profit’ to then blow £40+ million on a player we don’t need.  

Beginning to think Boehly isn’t really a billionaire but playing Brewsters millions for real.

We don't make money off Felix, makes no sense why Clearlake would want him. 

Weakens the team, huge wages, no resale profit.

He won't be getting mega wages now where ever he goes. That ship has sailed. He wasn't on very much at Barca, and if we do sign him, it won't be massive wages here. He hasn't done enough in his career to warrant them. I like him as a player, Atletico was a terrible move for him, not good being 3 different clubs in 3 years, needs to settle somewhere, whether that's here or elsewhere. 

Would sooner this was because we are spending extra on Victor Osimhen. 

Think he has flop written all over him but at least he is a striker and Guiu looks a good second option.

Where can Felix play in this team?

I can't see Osimen coming here, just completely against our transfer model, and I doubt he's fancy a go at Europa Conference league. Felix wasn't that bad during his last spell, had Potter stayed on he'd probably played more and had more success. Right now, can't see how he fits in this team. But, we already have 40+ players, what's the harm of one more? 🤔

We all know he’s going to be on a 7 year contract as well. I’m predicting at least 3 loan moves during that time.

He can only play striker, would be insanity to play him in the wings.

They dont wanna sell Oblak ? We can give them four goalkeepers plus cash in exchange. Sounds like a good deal for everyone to me

What possible reason can there be for the deal to collapse at this stage? And why would we want to sign Felix? He hardly set the place alight during his loan spell?

Agents 

Felix still has 5 years left on his Atletco deal, at 250k a week.

He agreed to drop his wages for one season  to 115k to go on loan to Barca.

Not sure conference league at Chelsea has the same appeal as his "dream club", who rejected the chance to sign him for 50mill euros.

I was happy when we signed him on loan but apart from a few flashes he flattered to deceive.

This deal, if it goes through, stinks. If anyone was still supporting the “plan” then this should give you massive cause for concern. We are only doing this so Gallagher’s deal gets signed. There is no other reason. 
 

Maybe this possible transfer is football related but I’m struggling to see where he plays. But I suspect if Athleti weren’t signing Gallagher then we would be nowhere near him.

To be honest if we get Oshimen as well our Fowards choices are pretty good

So Atletico can’t afford to buy Gallagher and Alvarez without the money from the Omorodian sale but we’re buying Osimhen now so don’t need Omorodian but we’re still obliged to buy an Atletico player because we need Gallagher off the books, so we’re basically seeing who they’re willing to sell us. Do they have a decent goalkeeper or centre half? 

Though I will say at least this will make @justhappy  ;)

Says who? He has a £250k/w contract that he extended for a further 7yrs before he came to us on loan, with 5yrs still to run. His low wages at Barca was for accounting reasons, and Atletico were covering the remainder of his wages. At some point he was earning £8k/w at Barca, and it was then moved to £80k/w during his loan. 
If he moves here we will either have to cover those wages, or Atletico will reach an agreement to pay him off.

Don’t know. But our board seems obsessed by Felix for some reason. And there’s no Pochettinho this time to tell them he’s not interested. 

Happy about Samu not coming here.

Also happy if Felix does. He was one of the few players when he was here who was creative and actually tried to make things happen. People were saying he was a luxury player - but for me, he was one of a small humber who tried and never downed tools. A big fan.
