Twitters rumours are the Jorge Mendes is trying to get him a move to Saudi for around £54m. I'd be more than happy with that.

Oh and my two pence on the SDs, they shouldn't be here and the lack of accountability is insane. Since they came in they've spunked about £1bn and made us worse in the process and, if that's not bad enough, they legitimately thought Liam Rosenior was the man to get this football club back to challenging for trophies. If I made the amount of mistakes in my job that they've made I'd have been sacked multiple times over.

If anybody working in a normal job was as bad as our sporting directors, they wouldn't just be sacked, they would be sued for gross negligence.

Hmm given how much Summerville just went for I think it will be a lot more than 54mill.

Al-Hilal are said to be the Saudi club at the front of the que IF Neto is willing to make that move. Fee Younes has said would be 70mill plus, wages of 375,000k.

Neto would need to agree to move there though, and will Ronaldo push as hard for him to come to the pro league if it is not Al Nassar he joins?

Also, as Sconnie said, there is legitimate interest from the PL. Not at that price but I could see the 54mill being reached easily given how the market is.

BlueCo must be positively frothing at the thought of an actual genuine profit on the underwhelming Neto, plus the added bonus of getting one of the highest earners off the payroll. Can see this happening LOL

I reckon we absolutely would be happy to sell him, ideally to Saudi for the extra cash. If neto is not willing to do that then we will cash in elsewhere, so long as the offer is worth a total Minimum 50mill.

He might go Saudi the Portuguese national team have shown they have no problem selecting players from that league and if you can treble your salary doing an easier job you’d probably do it.

I was under the impression the Saudi’s weren’t throwing their money around anymore though?

£68 million for Somerville would suggest otherwise.

I would be disappointed if he was sold. I like him.

Same. If he's not good enough and we can do better, then sign someone better first! Once Neto loses his spot naturally—to someone better—then he can decide to stay as rotation/option vs leave for more playtime.
You know... like most big clubs operate.

We have to keep selling to fund the amortisation costs. Buying other players is less important as these are also amortised. These people are sh*t at selling. The only marketable assets are Fernandez, the hopeless Gusto and Neto. Possibly Jackson as strikers are as rare as rocking horse sh*t. Even for these players, especially with the 45 day rule on the old switcheroo deals, there is a diminished market we can deal with.

Regardless of how he is thought, if a good bid comes in and if these clowns don't balls it up, Neto goes this window, of that I am pretty certain.

I suspect the plan is to sell him on at a book value profit and bring in Kerim Alajbegović

Too petulant for Alonso methinks.

I think he goes to Liverpool if they can’t do a deal for Barcola.

Saudi will be an option too.

My thoughts were Saudi too. There is a bit of Portuguese community developing there with Neves, Ronaldo, Felix, etc settling there. I wasn't surprised to see Al Hilal interested as the could have had Summerville on the left wing and Neto on the right.

Currently though I have no confidence that these SDs are actually capable of completing any of these deals.

What’s the 45 day rule mate not heard that one ?

Apparently if you sell a player to a club that you bought a player from within 45 days the respective fees are immediately netted off for psr/Uefa squad costs etc.

It's why Garnacho went on a loan with a conditional option.

It's why Jackson, if he goes to Villa must surely be on a similar loan rather than a straight sale.

If sold instead of us getting to amortise Rogers £117m over 5 years of his contract period and then getting the full up front value of Jackson at, say, £65m, we would get no value for the Jackson sale and would only be able to amortise the net value of £52m on Rogers.

That can start to limit your market. Want to buy Guimaraes from Newcastle and use Jackson as a makeweight? Well do Newcastle have the same appetite as us in book balancing? It's just adding more complications for an incompetent group of people who are struggling to perform the simplest of tasks of selling pure profit players anyway.

Thanks mate, never knew that. These stupid PSR rules are becoming a joke especially when clubs can just side step them the way they do.

So, if i am right, this won't happen for Jackson at Villa.

All of the bo**ocks that we have been hearing on SSN and the likes of Younes and Yannick is now taking a slight deviation here. If it can only be a permanent for Villa and yet Chelsea want to get the full sale value in this year's books, i don't see how this can happen

But by the same merit, Rogers amortised cost would only be £13m per year, rather than £24m per year. So surely it equals out?

I think it’s more about in which years accounts you want the lump sum of let’s say the Jackson transfer to show up though, they have no problem kicking the debt can down the road via amortisation but immediately need some sales to balance the books short term is how it works.

We've got enough fodder to sell.

I never believe a word any of these guys say tbh, nothing more than gossip, rumours or bare faced lies.
