Martin OderEater will be as rusty as the Tin Man in the Wizard of Oz, and their best player and at @Gol15 star man Declan Bomba Rice is an injury doubt. They have no wheels. This has a 4 or 5 nil win written all over it for us. Maresca's first win over a top team done and dusted. "Bomba" = 100m bottlerBasmatiRice

Arsenal was the second best team prior to Rice and Jorginho joining them, now they are just a standard top 4 team, they got worse. Realistically speaking Reece alone should shut down anyone from Saka, Martinelli, Trossard and so on... Arsenal is overrated.

dansubrosa Posted November 9, 2024 Posted November 9, 2024 This is a must win game. Arsenal are in the dregs and we need to take advantage. With our lovely run of games during the winter period and Liverpool having to face Real Madrid, City, United, Spurs and Newcastle (plus 6 other games) in the space of 5 weeks. We’re 10 points behind at the moment, could be 7 behind if we beat Arsenal. With Liverpool’s really tough winter period we could well be up there with them after Christmas and we’ll still be fresh with our 5 squads. This is a really big opportunity to start mounting a title challenge. I don’t expect it to last but it would be fun if we did. Sexyfootball 1
axman2526 Posted November 10, 2024 Author Posted November 10, 2024 Boost to Arsenal with City messing up again. Liverpool look ominously good though.
POCH OUT Posted November 10, 2024 Posted November 10, 2024 Arsenal 2 seasons ago -27 points from 10 games last season 24 points from 10 games this season 18 points from 10 games they are NOT as good, go out there and play to win, not play not to lose just and Sexyfootball 1 1
KonaKai Blue Posted November 10, 2024 Posted November 10, 2024 This is not a must win for us. All that's important is that we do not lose and put in a positive performance in doing so. Arsenal are not doing so well but their biggest strengths are a problem for our major weaknesses. They need this win more than we do, despite us being the home team. A draw would be perfectly fine given that we claw back the points as opposed to throwing a win away like last season. Jah Blair 1
Jezq8 Posted November 10, 2024 Posted November 10, 2024 It’s about time we beat these lot. team I would pick Sanchez (sadly) James fofana colwill cucurella Lavia Caicedo plamer madueke Neto Jackson if palmer is not fit then play either Felix or nkunku

JM7 Posted November 10, 2024 Posted November 10, 2024 A win today would be massive in creating a small gap. Arsenal and spurs are right on us plus it won’t be long before United are back up there pushing for top 4.
JM7 Posted November 10, 2024 Posted November 10, 2024 Another point, Arsenal are a nasty team and will bully you. Unfortunately our young team are still quite naive so they will need to stand up and not get drawn into silly fouls etc.
Girish Posted November 10, 2024 Posted November 10, 2024 I don't feel like we are still there yet as a proper team and this match just feels like it has a draw or a slim loss written all over it. Our defense continues to let us down and I don't think Maresca will be able to fix it with the current set of players. So, the only chance of us winning this game is trying to outscore the Arse, so if we show up with the same mentality as we did at OT, we are doomed. I know I may sound like negative Nancy but it is what it is. Jah Blair 1

Unlike OT of course we are at home so the opposition crowd will be less of a factor yet of course we still need to play well and compete for 90+ mins.

You can literally replace Arsenal in your post with ManU and that's what everybody said a week ago. Maresca needs to start proving himself against the big boys. He got beat by Pool and City and barely rescued a point against a struggling United side. If he loses to Arse, there'll be some serious questions about how good he really is. At least Poch had an injury list excuse. Bluesince66, BelgradeCFC, axman2526 and 3 others 5 1

Arsenal have to be really bad but they'll be licking their lips with a certified Sanchez error.
PloKoon13 Posted November 10, 2024 Posted November 10, 2024 Man City lose two in a row and are finally in the sort of form Arsenal have been praying for since they became serious candidates for the title a couple of years ago. In response, they have one point from their last three games. Come on, we have to beat them, it would be too f**king funny. If Forest fail to beat Newcastle, that would put us third. This a great opportunity, come on boys. Jah Blair and Sexyfootball 2

TheBeard Posted November 10, 2024 Posted November 10, 2024 Oh, dear. Crunch day. Will we still have anyone or thing to slag off about our own team if we win today? Dilemma dilemma dilemma................. Always loved our players, always have, but if I was picking a team today I'd rather Dewsbury Hall was rested .........until at least one transfer season has passed. Wrexham need him badly.

dansubrosa Posted November 10, 2024 Posted November 10, 2024 3 points, nothing less. We MUST beat them if we want to grow as a team. We lose, I doubt we’ll win any games against top teams. Play them off the park, they’ll resort to dark arts, take advantage of it.

The pressure is on Arsenal and they are probably going to revert to the thugish, dark art bullsh*t. Zero football, lots of fouls, lots of yellow cards, rugby stuff live on prime time. Battle of the Bridge Mark II. Another thing I would like to add to this is Arsenal's constant moaning through their deluded fan base and pundits on how many red cards they get and how many decisions go against them. They are currently playing like they're Stoke in disguise, but play the victim card every single week. I have a bad feeling that all the 50/50 challenges will go in their favour and as Liverpool have increased their advantage at the top, I would not be surprised if the FA through their bent refs will do anything to keep them in the title race if things don't go their way today. Gordon Bennett Posted November 10, 2024 Posted November 10, 2024 Unfortunately I think we'll lose this one. Sanchez will f**k up as usual and Havertz will probably get a couple of goals. 2-1 to Arse FC.
