Strikers will pick up cards. It's annoying when the cards become red but unless I'm mistaken, Delap has the one red card for us when Jackson has two.

But it's not just about cards, it's the whole demeanour. At least Delap plays with a smile on his face - so much more preferable to old sulky bo**ocks.

Jackson was here for 2 years, Delap's been here for 6 months.

I'm really not sure what Delap you've been watching, but he's spent his entire time here trying to fight the opposition rather than play football.

Total exageration.

But you're missing the point. What I'm getting at is Delap is a good squad player. He knows he's playing second fiddle to Pedro and he isn't going to sulk the place out and ruin the team spirit when he's sitting on the bench. He's a good alternative to have and hopefully we will see him continue to improve.

He's absolutely dog sh*t and we're a significantly weaker team every time he's on the pitch. He should be battling it out in the Championship this season.

Hasn't scored a goal from open play in 9 games and loves a booking. Isn't this signing exactly what we moan about with Jackson on here?

There's nothing he offers that we don't already have with Jackson. We should be looking for an upgrade.

Damn it, called it a year before. I need to stop being so good at this.

And that last glorious chance had to fall to this fecking donkey

The worst part was when he had it at the corner flag and decided to just smack it into the area straight into Burnley's possession instead of waste more time. We have far too many footballers with a lack of football intelligence.

Delap had the opportunity near the end to make his mark, to save the three points, to put himself in contention for a starting place, but alas he wasnt even close.☹️

Not a great attempt but to be fair he had only come on 10 minutes before and it's not as if it was an easy chance.

So Liam Rosenior is reluctant to let Liam Delap (23) leave this summer. I guess Real Madrid are not making a bid for Liam the younger and Emegha arrives in the summer - Liam knows the player and yet he still wants to keep Delap around.

Delap, Emegha, or Guiu.

Spoilt for options aren't we.

Guiu needs a loan. He has all the credentials. He just needs to play games and score goals.

Delap is an 'option' - if you want to play with a big burly striker. Has never had much of a goal scoring record.
Emegha is an 'option' if you want to play with a big. . . don't know much about him. But the Dutch lad scores goals.
We also have the possibility of bringing Nico back into the side. lol

Once Haaland was signed by Citeh everybody thought they needed a big striker. Maybe they do. Maybe they don't. Everyone adopted that 4-2-3-1 formation. Now Citeh don't play that way and yet here we are sticking by the 'formation' for our 'project'.

Surprised how raw he was technically, but maybe we just signed another player for the sake of youth and potential, unless we are going to play route one football. Again, it's the job of the sporting directors ( working with the manager) identifying what we need, not how to make some quick bucks ( hopefully)
