Totally agree on Cole. He genuinely looks like he enjoys it out there and with his calm demeanor he could be having a kick around in the park. You rarely see that quality in players and its a pleasure to watch him. He may be my favorite player since Pat Nevin.

Totally agree. It seems to be in Ange's nature to take risks. Sometimes they pay off but a lot of Spurs fans seem to be turning on him. Judging by Levy's expression at the end he may be in trouble.

To bring a negative, we were lucky that Spurs were so bad as giving away two soft goals early on should have really killed the game for us. A better team or manager would have shut the game down.

I was the same. My dad took me to my first game 70/71 season. First game of the season was home to Derby and Hutch got two goals. We had a black and white tv at the time and I was blown away that the pitch was actually green.

Good to see so many from Morden! Was born there in '63 - such happy memories of the place back in the day but wouldn't want to live there now.

Used to go to Plough Lane a lot as a kid to watch Wimbledon in the Southern League until mum thought I was old enough to go to The Bridge and older brother Coombsie took me to first games  - Stoke followed by West Ham (both draws) and West Ham was a real eye opener as in the Shed and suddenly heard chants of "United, United" and all hell broke loose!

Where i live in the Midlands there were my dad and 3 of his mates that all 'chose' Chelsea after that game. All used to travel to London regularly throughout the late 70's and 80's to watch them. Now in our town all the dads raised their kids as Chelsea fans so there's about 20 Chelsea fans in a little ex-mining town. 

The title race talk is premature for sure. We have to remember our squad is very young. In comparison Liverpool squad is 4 years older in average. They have the squad and the experience to snatch it now that City and Arsenal are limping. 

We don't want that pressure on us. 

Colwill said it well after the game for an example we are not giving the opponent 2 goals early on when we are ready to fight for the title. 

Anyway we have to enjoy these moments. The goals, the wins, the entertaining games. Better teams can contain us still and our defending with the ball especially is lacking. Not to mention our keeper situation. 

Let's enjoy these moments and see our young lads grow into their boots. 

We aren’t in the title race, Scousers are 7 clear (they never lose to Everton) and we only get to play them once more so best we can be is within 4.

 

However we’re certainly the best of the rest, Arsenal are just Stoke with a fancy stadium, City without Rodri look absolute shambles, Villa can’t cope with Europe, Howe is about to be sacked at Newcastle and Brighton are too open at the best of times.

 

Some serious credit to Maresca for his tactics just recently as well, managing to get Caiceido, Lavia & Fernandez all on the pitch together and playing to the level they are is something. 

Think taking off Lavia, despite being the best player on the pitch that first half, for a tactical tweak showed some serious balls.

And to think there are some posters on here who think that this clown deserves to play for Chelsea!

Just a few points about the game, I haven't read the match thread yet.

- The fact that ange risked 3 or 4 players just to beat us needs more attention! What a fkn idiot! 

- Marecas is a much superior tactician than ange.

- Palmer! If this kid continues like this, on this trajectory then I think he may get his wish of Ballon D'Or. Fkn audacity for a panenka, while only 1 goal up in a game like that. What a fkn kid. Also, I don't think he likes the post game interviews very much. Lol

- This squad, again if trajectory is the same so far, will be amazing to watch in a few seasons. There is amazing talent there that just needs time to mature. 🤞

Maresca said after the match it was not for tactical reasons, but due to him feeling something in his hamstring.

How he changed up the side was tactical and made a big difference, but Lavia being the one to come off was a choice made for him.
