While I was legitimately sh*t at football I did get on the pitch sometimes. One of my favourite memories was playing against one of the actually good teams and losing 5-1, the highlight of which was our braindead goalkeeper (a Tottenham fan to boot) punching the ball into his own net from a cross while under no pressure. He shouted 'LEAVE IT' as well...

It was eventually noticed that was happy to put my body in the way of the ball so I had a somewhat memorable stint as a goalkeeper. The main takeaway from that is a nose that points the wrong way.

Neto reminds me of that Evel Knivel wind up bike. It goes like crazy at the start then falls over….yes you’ve got to be old like me to remember both Evel Knivel and the toy

Palmer's general play isn't that bad, and he's still the most positive influence on our attacking game, he's just getting his shooting and decision making all wrong.

I can’t see how we can play any better for rest of the season.

Or next season even. The only way we might succeed is if we buy world class players this summer and they make instant impact like Cole Palmer did, then maybe we’ll compete for a trophy.
