Also, why have Bettinelli on the bench as a 3rd keeper when you could have included Mheuka for some additional cover up front ?

The only reason we are where we are is because other teams have had a sh*tty inconsistent season. Liverpool have been consistent because of what Klopp left behind and the decent job Slot had done, everyone else just can't put a win streak together. Next season if we are playing this bad and everyone else finds consistency we are mid table at best. We've turned into a slow, ponderous, boring football team under this manager yet he has a wealth of youth and talent at his disposal which he has turned into a sh*t show.

For the first time in a very long while I'm pondering whether to watch the game or just spare myself some unneccesary stress and inevitable heartbreak.

It's not even about Palmer missing out as he's been crap for weeks now. It's not about not having a number nine up front to lead the attack or reliable keeper or functioning midfiled because we're signing fragile players that can't stay fit for longer than a couple of weeks at a time and because we're run by incompetent twats.

It's just I have no faith in this group of players or that manager. We've been utter crap since Christmas period and there have been no signs of improvement. I'm expecting nothing good.

Missing Cole worries me less than starting Sanchez. Palmer has been poor the last few games supposed to be ill.

Palmer has been mis-firing vs the bottom of the barrel teams, and he hasn't scored an open play goal vs the traditional top 6 other than Man Utd away last season and maybe on one other occasion?

Him missing out probably won't change anything. That being said, I think we'll still lose. Draw would be a great result imo.

You would think without Palmer he would play Nkunku in his ideal position but nope. This was also the opportunity to trust Tyrique George who offers something different to Nkunku & Palmer, pace behind their back line.
