Still unsure of what to make of the player from pure clip watching, but I trust the word of the fans of the club more than anything and A**x fans are gutted to be losing Hato.

Captained them from the age of 17 and seems to have a nice blend of skills.

Seems like a player that can be used in a variety of different ways, has a solid physical and technical floor and a lot of potential.

Hope he does well.

In my opinion Hato has a ceiling level similar to Ashley Cole. This is an amazing signing. Not only is he a supreme talent, but he allows the best LB in Europe rest time and being mentored by him. Cucurella played enough minutes worthy of 2 seasons last year.

Don't know much about the player tbh. Is he more of an LB then? He seems a bit short for center D.

Signed the youngest A**x captain and one of the best young LB that can play CB

He looks a very good player from my 2 minutes of YouTube scouting. Fast, technical, physical, and good tackler. Exciting signing.

I'm now hoping that this doesn't mean the club is going to move forward with trying to push either one of Chalobah or Tosin out the door.

Fofana - Tosin - Badiashile and Chalobah is a pretty tricky group of players. Everyone wants Fofana to stay fit as he is clearly the best player of the 4 and it is very hard to move him on.

Tosin and Chalobah are both pure profit but also excellent players for us.

Badiashile is also a bit tricky to move on as we need a good fee from him.

Best case scenario for me is we can get the minutes out from Wes by controlling his game time like with Reece. We stick with Tosin and Chalobah and try to move on Badiashile.

Very highly rated around Europe, certainly a position we needed cover in and his versatility to play LCB makes him great for the squad.

I’ve given up listening to reports or player reputations. I’ll wait to see what he does in blue.

Has quite a bit of experience for 19 so it doesn’t feel like a ‘one for the future’ signing.

You need to go careful offering sweets to youngsters

To get a player of this ability for that price without even taking into account his potential is absolutely astounding business.

Fans of other clubs are in perpetual rage at everyone we sign. Even if they say they're sh*t (which they almost invariably do) it still causes them apoplexy.

Age - Hato is younger at the point of sale which is a positive.

Transfer Fee - Looks to literally be identical for all reports.

Ability - Califiori impressed for Basel, went straight into Bologna’s side in the Serie A and helped the reach the CL for the first ever time (?) didn’t get an international call up til his Arsenal move.Hato is the youngest ever captain for A**x in the Eredivisie and has already featured for the Netherlands.

In that regard there isn’t much to split them I’d suggest.

For us and our project Hato is the better signing, purely down to age and potential, currently at this moment, Califiori is a better player but he is probably at his ceiling, I expect Hato to far exceed that.

Fofana has done absolutely nothing in his career to date to put him ahead of Tosin or Chalobah. At this point, I am convinced that people rate the idea of Fofana rather than the player himself.

He's played a total of 116 senior games at the age of 24. And seeing as a regular football season is at least 40 games, that is less than 3 full seasons of senior football.

That is the problem when you are not fit. I am pretty sure most football experts put him above Tosin and Chalobah.
