Our manager is falling out with the board about signing a decent centre back and I fully expect Liverpool to sign one soon.

Liverpool only have 3! CBs in Van Dijk, Konate who wants out, and Joe Gomez. They recently just signed an 18yr old CB, but you don’t see Slot losing his mind.

Marisca has 9 CBs to choose from, and currently has 6 fit to select. I just don’t see how we sign another CB unless you sell a few which will be hard to do with 2 weeks left in the window.

Liverpool look absolute sh*te defensively. VVD is past it.

Without better defensive cover from midfield Liverpool’s back four will be exposed by clubs with pace that’s for sure.

They got away with on rep last night that’s for sure . As for Bournemouth they look short . Did well to get back to 2-2 but no real options from the bench.

As for Petrovich looked anything but top quality. Did bread and butter stuff okay but positioning for me was suspect

That Diakité player for Bournemouth bears a striking resemblance to Caicedo.

We said that during the game.

Kerkez looked strangely out of his depth. Maybe nerves, playing his old club, who knows?

More than a few wanted Howe at Chelsea as I recall.

Me 100% definitely. Has proved he can still manage and get results with a major injury list and has never been able to buy players from the very top tier. Has generally been fantastic with his squad management and handling of young players.

Second that.

Has always exceeded expectations without ever being given the talent we have at Chels.

Plays some great looking football as well.

Another really difficult challenge for him next week too having to play the scousers without his best player. A player who the scousers have obviously played a part in turning.
