Yep, when the rules are tweaked next season to stop the rugby maul bullsh*t in the 6 yard box they are screwed. Even the goal yesterday had an Arsenal player leaning in to the keeper, that somehow always gets missed for them.

Panichelli looked decent scored one from a tight position inside the box we could do worse than bring him in. Strasbourg wiped the floor with Lille, quite impressive.

I am not sure I have watched united this season but I said last season that I have never seen something like what Amorim did with united. You don't need to be a pro manager to see the player can't do what he is asking them to do but he kept insisting playing certain way.

Reports that Villa were looking at Ruben Loftus-Cheek to bolster midfield. Not a good idea. RLC has found his home in the moderately paced Serie A, injury and age have undermined his speed and agility. Still a good player but stay where you are, my son. Villa's renewed interest in Douglas Luiz might have scuppered the notion anyway.

Exactly this. The amount of times Utd have put in a performance against the likes of Liverpool and City then continued to be sh*t afterwards has been prevalent since the end of Fergie's reign. Ten Haag and Amorim have dragged Utd down to a ridiculously low level, but with the players they have they should at least be competing for European positions. Depending on how long this new manager bounce last and the fact they have no other competitions to worry about they could be big contenders for a CL place, on top of the fact no one else seems to be interested or that great.

I kinda hope does an Ole and has a good enough start that he gets the job full time only to fizzle out with in a couple of years.

That's the curious one. They can't have done due diligence. Started quite well in Serie A but faded. As with his time at Chelsea, he lacks physicality, too easily brushed aside.

They were supposed to clamp down on grappling etc at set pieces this season. BUT Howard Webb predicted it would lead to more penalties, said nothing about chalking off goals.scored by grappling and holding by the attacking team. . Even then, there's enough fouling by Arsenal to strike out most of their goals anyway.
