We could have signed Kvaratskhelia, Barcola, Doue, Dembele, Olise and Tah, cheaper and on lower wages, long before Bayern and PSG got involved. Five of the six players above were identified and tracked for years under the pre-BlueCo scouting setup.

Has nothing to do with the 'model' and everything to do with the fact that BlueCo do not know what they are doing.

Despite His quality he wouldn't survive in either team. Wouldn't get in, simplynon the basis that he would break down within 15 minutes. Its constant running and movement from both sides.

That 5-4, what an incredible game of football. Matches like that are why we all fell in love with football - NOT the dross we tend to see week in, week out in the PL. Both teams were superb. Be great to see more of the same in the second leg next week. IF Arsenal do manage to make the final, hope the winners of this tie give them a lesson in football and absolutely batter them. Will be great to see Arteta on the touchline in tears!

Turns out all you need for a jaw dropping European night is no PL teams involved in the fixture. PSG/Bayern last night Barca/Inter last year.

Said it earlier in this thread but it's the first time i've actively chosen to watch other games in the CL and rarely watch even highlights of the PL. The PL is increasingly a turgid procession to corners and free-kicks and even its media spends endless time obsessing over tactics, stats and narratives rather than the game itself.

I would like to offer my personal thanks to Bayern and PSG for a game so entertaining that my missus (who is something of a nerd and has no interest in sports whatsoever outside of a vague willingness to watch F1) was genuinely thrilled. This bodes well for my future drinking and sports spectating.
