Here's what Maresca actually said prior to the Bayern game:
The Italian told reporters: "I am thankful to Nico because if we achieved what we achieved last year, it is because of all of the players including Nicolas who was with us. I texted him after he left the club to thank him for last season and wished him all the best. He is a good guy, with us he was good and working well.

"[Chelsea] bought two strikers, Liam Delap and Joao Pedro, and two strikers is a good number - that is enough".

It is very clear it was the club's decision, not Maresca's, to move Jackson on.

Agree! Our squad planning is a mess, and if we miss out on CL we are screwed. Jackson doesn’t fit anywhere and he needs to be playing first team football next season constantly if they want to offload him. He has lost value this season; they overvalued him last summer, playing back up next season helps no one.

I'll be amazed if he plays for us again, but I'd have no issues with him in the squad. Given the lack of goals from attackers, reckon he'd be pushing for a starting spot. certainly over Delap who just hasnt got going for us. We will have no difficulty selling him for a good profit. We paid just north of £30 million for him and have already got a decent loan fee from Bayern. I still think we’ll get north of £40 million from PL clubs.

I didn’t mind him at Chelsea until the last 6 months but I would be astonished if he played for us again.

There is no context to your post. Kane is having the best season in a one horse league. Have you actually watched Jackson play for them? When he is on the pitch he is still in the best team by fricking miles in the same one horse league. Unfortunately, for most of the time, he is the horse.

Only saw him play there a couple of times but obvious to me, he was much more comfortable coming inside from there than he was as the central "Striker"...

Bayern fans seem even less impressed than us, which is worrying.

Him returning to us doesn't solve the problem of Garnacho/Neto/Gittens/Delap, it just adds more of the same. You can't improve on mediocrity by adding more mediocrity.
