Nope. Sell.

He will still make the wrong decision 9 times out of 10, and he always flatters to deceive in preseason.

We already have Morgan Rogers to carry the ball if that is what some fans are impulsively reacting to based on Jackson’s performance against Milan. Now we apparently “must not sell” lol.

Spot on. Totally agree, and it's not like he even played well today against a rubbish Milan defence.

Everyone knows we need to recoup money and reduce the size of the squad between now and the end of the transfer window. We tried to get £50 to 60 million for him last year and there were no takers whatsoever. He didn't pull up any trees on loan at Bayern, (who never wanted to make a permanent deal), or in the World Cup. £30 to 40 million would be a fantastic sale for us.

He needs to go, Delap needs to go, Gusto needs to go and, personally, I would let both Enzo and Neto go if we get the right offers.

Why on earth are they playing him in pre season and taking fitness minutes away from people who migth actually be good enough to play for chelsea.

This loser has already proven, time and again, not to be good enough. We already decided that, and sent him on his merry way. It is so odd that Alonso is now giving him minutes, when the club has already deemed him not to be good enough.

Personally I'd put more faith in Alonso's decision-making than in the "club" when the "club" is BlueCo and their sporting directors !

He's having a look at all the players in pre-season, so they are all getting minutes. We'll see in the next three weeks whether he thinks Jackson is worth a squad place for the 26/27 campaign.

So I read or heard somewhere that a move to Villa on a permanent cash deal was still possible as the 45 day stipulation for the full sale value expired on the last day of the window, but a Gemini search tells me there are 42 days from the point of sale of Rogers to us and the close of the window.

So if we cannot nail a loan with easy obligation we could be stuck with this guy again and regardless of any footballing aspects his attitude is questionable at best and I think Alonso will not want any of that in the squad.

Honestly, from football pov, this is a no brainer decision

Someone mentioned that we don't know when the Rogers contract was actually signed. Maybe 42 days from the announcement, but the sale could have happened a few days before.

When I first read this a day or so ago I simply dismissed it but on reflection I think there might be some legs in it.

What’s changed you may ask ,well it’s simply that BlueCos legal team are all over these type of things and that being so close to that arbitrary 45 days I can quite easily see that the sequence of Garnacho on loan and possibly Jackson on the last day of the window sounds a possibility

Hopefully some of the posts above are proved right, and a deal has been done with Villa to transfer on deadline day. There doesn't seem to be any concrete interest from anyone else.

He stunk the place out today with his attitude and body language. If anyone thinks this bloke is gonna be happy to sit on the bench and be a good squad player, they are nuts.

And the cherry on the cake is it looks like he has gotten even worse in the air!

I find it hard to believe Villa are genuinely interested in him. Who the f**k watches the sh*t show he has been for two seasons and the sort of effort he makes when in the shop window and thinks he is worth a reasonable chunk of a limited transfer budget.

I know. I am clutching at straws here Loz. Praying the Garnacho move was part of an inspired "Buy One, Get One Free" deal.

You know what is interesting, he has 7 yrs left on his contract. No wonder he is back here saying he is happy and wants to be here. He knows the club aren’t allowed to have a “bomb squad”, and it isn’t his concern if he stays or go. He has a contract, which the club has to honor.

Like a cheap car service in 1986. Service a lada, get a free vending machine coffee while you wait.

Complete radio silence again. No potential suitors. No offers. There has been more media interest in Delap.

Unless a deadline day deal has been struck with Villa. Looks like we are stuck with him for another season.

I think this is a done deal with Villa for the last day. As you say it is too quiet.

Although this mob are abysmal at trading

This mob also doesn't advertise its activity vis à vis Rogers.

Nah, he won't move to villa. Villa need that Roger number to be intact

Deadline day is 46 days later.

Is it ?

Most places seem to have the Rogers transfer as taking place on 21st July. 45 days after that is September 4th, three days after the transfer window deadline.

Jackson ain't going to Villa if both sides need this not to be a swap.

Anyone who thinks Villa & Emery are interested in Jackson after watching the Super Cup is having a laugh.

They already have Watkins, Abraham & the 17yr old Madjo kid they paid £10m for in Jan, who started and scored v PSG. And in case we try running with the phantom LW angle, they have Buendia, Garnacho & the Hennings kid who started v PSG. Found it interesting Jackson released a statement yesterday saying he is happy to stay, but knows it’s out of his hands. I don’t think the offers are there, that is why they are putting pressure on City with the Enzo deadline.

Loads of rumours the paperwork was signed before the deal was announced for this exact reason. His medical was on 20th which if papers signed the same day gives us the time.
