Obviously, he will not always win them. But the fact that he DOES contest them, (and wins a good percentage), generally means the opponents do not get a "free, put it where he wants to", header. You get that right? It's a bit like the joke statistical question I made to you about the completed passes comparison between Enzo F and KDH today. Statistics are always, and I mean always, without fail, total bo**ocks without considering and taking into account, the specific circumstances and the variables involved.Methinks the lady doth protest too much !Can't believe you even took the bait LOLHook, line and sinker ... 😎

December 13, 2025Dec 13 Just got home from the bridge. Thought the atmosphere today was particularly pants. Played alright, not great, generated a lot but finished… not a lot. Enzo was a liability at times but nice to see Palmer back in the action! Onto the next one.

December 13, 2025Dec 13 I dare say all the positivity merchants (Benson, Younes and co) will be waxing lyrical over that result and tell us we are back in the title race, it is covering over the cracks, how the coach singer played another 90 mins ill never know

The atmosphere was very flat, true, understandable given how sh*t the team plays. I took the three points and ran to Earls Court. The first 20 minutes, up until Palmer’s goal, were really boring. The rest of the game wasn’t much more exciting, except for the times when the players decided to ditch Maresca ball and play fast forward passes. I also thought that Everton were hard done by their terrible finishing. A more able team could have gone away with a point.Great to see Palmer back and score. I thought that Gusto had a great game. And, what’s the point of Fernandez? Another game that passes him by, especially when Maresca took off Palmer for Santos. Well, I’ll take the three points and thank you very much.

December 13, 2025Dec 13 Strange game. Could’ve been three or four nil. Or 2-1 with us hanging on at the end. Good to see Palmer back and scoring a typical Palmer goal. Gusto with an assist and goal. Fofana and Chalobah with another clean sheet. OTOH Garnacho needs to work on his finishing. Not sure what Pedro was all about. Would’ve taken 2-0 beforehand so can’t really complain.
December 13, 2025Dec 13 After the last week and a half today was always going to be difficult but the second goal was huge. Gusto has to be MoM today. Unspectacular but was there when it mattered. Fofana is growing into the season and if he stays fit he plays.Garnacho is a strange one. Didn’t want him but he’s done ok I suppose. Often his first touch lets him down much the same as his last touch/finish does. A lot of what happens in between is actually good though. There is a players in there I think. His pace causes big problems and I think he will do just fine at Chelsea. If his end product can improve he’ll do more than fine.Gittens in particular hasn’t done much since he signed but it’s definitely too early to judge him. The SD’s have to take almost all the blame for paying so much money for him when he’s clearly not ready. He might surprise a few in a similar way as Cucu did as he does have talent but a loan would do him a world of good. No one is spunking anything remotely close to what we paid for him. Quenda arriving probably gives him even less minutes than he gets now. Was it £59 million we paid for him? Staggering if that’s anywhere close to the actual fee.Everton are a decent outfit so happy enough with the win but they should have probably scored at least once today.

I thought we played quite well though.

December 14, 2025Dec 14 There were spells in the beginning of the second half in which we played well I thought, but Everton were dismal and the moment they decided to play they just showed that they can't finish, if they had a proper striker this could have ended badly for us.Fofana is our best CB on form and I hope he stays fit. Chalobah looks like a different player when he partners him instead of Tosin.Enzo and Joao Pedro look exhausted and they just can't seem to do anything right. They need the bench. We need that too.Garnacho is extremely lucky we won this game. He is going to cost us in the future. Gittens just looks too raw. We could have saved ourselves the combined 80 mil and promote an academy winger. Edited December 14, 2025Dec 14 by SevilleBlues
December 14, 2025Dec 14 With Arsenal conceding a goal to Wolves last night, this means we have now drawn level with them for most clean sheets ... with 8 in 15 games. That's a pretty good soundbite ! Not quite sure how we are doing it mind you, as we continue to look a bit shaky at the back to my eye ...
December 14, 2025Dec 14 I wasn’t able to pick up the game live yesterday but watched the entire game replayed on CFC website. I see nothing much has changed but it just reinforced my point that the managers starting line ups and tactics are still shocking and I’ll say this again re Cucurella ; he can’t defend worth sh*t, he makes rash tackles, his timing is awful and I lost count how many times we were exposed down our left hand side and had we’d been playing a decent scoring side they would have put us away before half time. While at times during games he’s running all over the pitch like a spaniel chasing a ball, his primary function is to defend and he’s don’t doing that IMO. The midfield is disjointed; Enzo looks out on his feet and gets poorer every game he plays and the bald twat leaves him out there game after game when he has Santos on the bench and IMO should be starting, certainly the last half a dozen games. While many on here have a go at Neto, while he may not be perfect,he’s about the only winger we have that will take the defenders on, and had we an old fashion CF more than half of his crosses would be in the back of the net, but we simply don’t have a CF capable of making runs, scoring or winning headers in the box, Pedro has been a lame duck since the CWC and Delap won’t cause any defender anything to worry about. Gusto had an OK game yesterday, but I certainly don’t rate him as a full back and it may well be that the bald twat has removed any brain cells relating to defending from most of our defenders and converted them to the ‘go play anywhere’ position and run around and be as disruptive to the opposition and worry about defending later.Good to see Cole back and on the score sheet; shame though that he has to carry this team for another season. Unless we win something of any value this year I don’t think he’ll hang around for too long.
