February 21Feb 21 I was never his fan from the beginning but unless he wins the CL like Tuchel did (I wasn't a fan of him from the beginning but he won me over with winning the CL), get rid as soon as possible.

They shouldn't have been on holiday, all that did was make them lose sharpness and that was clear throughout the 90 minutes. We were sloppy all game. And the subs weren't fine at all. James is the captain, the strongest player in the team, you never take him off unless he is forced to come off. It's like taking Terry off when trying to see out a game. Neto is the quickest player, we need an out ball. You mention bringing on fresh legs up front.....he didn't do that though. He brought Delap on (useless) and the rest were defenders, 3 of them being kids. He set them up to fail.Hi Scott. Didn't get to watch the game and I know we had a man sent off, but they just mentioned on radio that we didn't have a shot on target in the 2nd half ? If it's true, that's not a statistic I thought I would ever see in a home game against that awful Burnley side this season . . What's the feeling though, heard there was lots of possession and tons of passing ??

Neto again didn't do anything, we were being pushed back even with him on the pitch. Stacking the midfield with Enzo Santos and Caicedo with 5 CBs was a perfectly fine plan for the last 5 mins of the game. We didn't concede due to this. The goal we conceded would happen regardless of who we had on.

I’d be crapping it if he was to begin after the Burnley game upcoming. We should have a pretty good idea how good he is by the end of March after a tough run of games.DO YOU WANT TO STICK WITH WHAT YOU SAID?Played teams in 15th and 19th at home and could only take 2 points

Lack of focus, loose passing, poor movement, slow, not testing the keeper, just the whole package of sh*t we see all too often these days.

Its not like Maresca-ball when we were just passing it between our CB's.

February 21Feb 21 No way we are making top 5I said we would need to take 6 points from Leeds and Burnley to have a chance, Arsenal, Villa, Everton all away with Newcastle at home , next four gamesMaybe 5 points
February 21Feb 21 Oh but he coached us a win in this WHOLE WEEK he had the team. Despite all the subs, something really shocks me is using Sanchez as an inverted GK, a touch of genius. The whole game plan was at the same level than Maresca, with the difference that Maraca had understood that Sanchez can’t play with the ball at his feet. And that is not what made us lose points today, but it will. Shocking game plan, really shocking. Maybe, all those wins in the last few weeks were a Maresca hangover.

We never gave the keeper anything to do.Why can't Rosenior instruct them to take a different type of corner? We had a ton of them today with zero variance. Even if we were still getting overrun, making that many defensive changes so quickly just created a mess. I don't buy that the goal couldn't have been avoided either. Fresh legs is not always the answer, shape is more important and he threw any shape we did have out of the window making that many defensive changes so quickly. Stacking the midfield with Enzo isn't fine either, because the useless idiot gave the ball away over and over again in our own half. Every single game, the guy is gassed after 60 minutes. Any competent manager would see this and sub him off. Any competent manager wouldn't start him every game.

February 21Feb 21 Think we had a few chances - few of them fell to Gusto who chose not to shoot ... laid it off for others who caught wrong footed... another reason he shouldn't be on the pitch.

February 21Feb 21 Oh yes, we had some chances, so did they!! They were dreadful and we didn’t turn up. This is on the coach, but he will say, in good English mind you, the correct things in his press conference and all the LR cultists will tell us how good he is.

I would say Conference or Europa League is about our level under Clearlake. Unless they change their strategy we should expect this to be the new norm. If Clearlake genuinely think they can make Champions League with their transfer policy and inexperienced coaches they are more delusional than I thought.

I don't know how you've watched the game and can disagree with this. The corner thing, while annoying, is largely irrelevant here. I agree, I never said it wasn't risky but given our previous games with defending corners there's little to no evidence that suggests we wouldn't have struggled regardless so to me it's a bit of a moot point. Logically speaking it was the right call but you can't account of players failing to follow instructions. The Enzo thing is the only one I agree with you on, I said I would have taken him off myself when Fofana got a red but again I can understand why he took off Palmer cause 1) He was pretty poor and 2) he's not a CM/DM so won't be able to effectively congest the middle of the pitch the same way. I think if Lavia was actually fit he would have come on for Enzo at some point but given there was no other option on the bench he probably felt it was best to keep him on.

Even though we didn't play particularly well, we created enough to be out of sight well before the red card, but our lack of killer instinct ultimately cost us. For a squad that costs so much, it's amazing how poor the vast majority of our players are
